Great video! I’m still wondering which board between the Stratos and Flagship for daily days at Heavenly, my local mountain. Typical days range from awful bulletproof snow, mellow tree runs, deep pow, and carving groomers. I ride switch a lot with slower riders on weekends too. Opinions welcomed, thanks!

I splurged hard on a 2023 project X. It's absolutely RAD as hell. I do regret it just because it is SO freaking expensive and it's not like these other boards aren't really amazing too. Probably would be better to get a quiver together instead of spending it all on just the one board. But I seriously doubt I'm ever going to get rid of it, it's just way too amazing 😆 I've ridden my brother's flagship (Probably same year?) and it is a size bigger than ideal for me I think... but part of that is I'm just used to how amazingly responsive the X is that the flagship feels a bit clunky to me. On the other hand I see him plowing through choppy stuff like it ain't no thing, and I get bucked around a lot more. He is heavier and stronger than me so, the rider counts a lot of course but that's my little anecdote comparing them. Great vid, super technical and I love it. Cheers.

Awesome, thanks for sharing. It's definitely hard riding anything else when you've already got one of the sickest boards around

I really want to demo the Stratos this year. Keep wondering if it will be too much board for me (I'm intermediate to upper intermediate). I have the Yes Typo which is what got me from beginner to intermediate, I'm a fan of quiver killers/do-it-all boards lol. Just think I could progress more with freeride technique (off piste, trees, powder, steeps) with something slightly stiffer and more directional. I think the Frontier, Mountain Twin etc. may be too similar to what I have, or possibly softer.

Yeah i think those other boards would be too similar for what you already have. I don't think the Stratos would be too much for you and I think it could help you level up, that's what it did for my girlfriend

How’s the mind expander for a resort daily driver and groomer board when no lucky enough to be in deep snow?

@ I can tell! Visually it was super well done, but even without that it was informative and clear in a very useful way. That's the harder part.

I have a number of Jones boards and love all of them, but are they made in the USA.?
@SearchofSnowboarding25 күн бұрын
No they are not, really just Mervin boards and boards from the Never Summer factory are made in the US. A few burton boards are too

Love the video! Are you doing reviews on Project X? I have the Burton Con Artist 159, and I would like to know the difference in performance to an equivalent price tag. The Burton Com Artist is basically a better version of the Straight Chutter, but the Con Artist has more taper and a Methalon base. Weight wise, the Con Artists is light, but i feel a Capita Mega Merc is lighter by a few lbs. well it would be nice to know what people are paying for in the Project X, but i think I might lean more to purchasing the Megalite from Nidecker. Ty!
@SearchofSnowboarding2 ай бұрын
The Mystery Con Artist? Nice that was a sick one. Con Artist had twice as much taper as the Project X, Project X would be better for tricking around with
