Here's the thing about Quasar though: They nerfed the charge time by 5 seconds... WHEN YOU HAVE IT OUT. If you fire it then switch weapons it still realods in 10-11 seconds. If you have it out it takes 15-16 seconds. Because the devs are amazing at their jobs as always.

When team loading recoiless, sometimes it'll show the rockets hitting the Bile Titan in the head on the person firings screen and it'll show the rocket hitting the Titan in the leg on the team loaders screen. It records the damage from the leg shots and goes through all rockers without hardly damaging the Titan. This games ability to constantly hit you with new problems is amazing

I admire the tenacity of KZbinrs always looking for “best builds” every patch, especially when there’s no best build and tbh not much of a meta right now. Even specifically against bugs or bots, there’s a plethora of options that are not only acceptable but great. Plus, with a team running good equipment you have even more freedom Love that you acknowledge this and focus on teaching instead!

Yeah I agree. Like the autocannon, is really good at clearing out devastators and striders, but it takes precise shots or flanks to beat tanks and hulks. On the other hand, something like a Quasar or Recoiless can easily kill tanks and hulks but it doesn't have enough to deal with devastators and striders.

Another thing about the flamethrower, you can shoot the floor for half a second and then dive to put it out, and then stim yourself to get your stamina back. Find it helps get across the map a little faster. Especially since the medic armor gives longer stim (infinite stamina for 6 seconds) and then the supply pack gives stims

6:30 it is also good to note that the punisher will detonate on your personal shield for some reason so DO NOT BRING THE SHIELD WITH IT. Edit: they fixed it

Been using the Eagle Airstrike since the beginning of my play in this game. It's almost always in my load out because it's effective for a multitude of tasks, the cooldown is great, and it has just enough uses to finish a mission.

For clear out builds against terminids, I'm actually really enjoying the arc blitzer with the dog rover (laser). Then you can also grab EAT's to help with titans.

@@ludewich There's armor that negates 95% of the damage. I would love to see a team with all 4 wearing that and using the arcs. Not to mention having the buffs for hitting an extra target. And then there is the Tesla turrent. If you lay down, it won't hit you. If you have the armor, it won't insta kill you. It takes a few hits to kill you.

@@runnergo1398 you are right. I brought the arc armor once, together with a friend - we used each other to extend the reach of our arc throwers. However, getting hit by the arc thrower staggers you way too much. I think the blitzer is rather harmless for teammates (as much as pretty much all other primaries except the breaker incendiary). I plan a dedicated tesla tower team build with 2 friends soon, though!

I really appreciate tips on how to defeat terminids I joined around the creek era and really got into it when the bots took Cybertron, so I nearly always ran bots with the boys. We got really good at bot breaking, so much so in fact that we became specialized. When the new terminid attack happened we tried to help but were struggling even through Hard missions (we usually did Extreme or Suicides on bots). We just weren’t used to getting rushed. All these guides have really helped and we are starting to see how bugs are considered easier but it’s been a learning curve

I’m so freaking happy this video exists now, trying to change the rhetoric on how we think about what “meta” actually describes is a NOBLE cause and will be healthy for the long-term playability of this game. My argument is that most players think of meta as simply the things you put in your loadout slots that allow you to faceroll and perform to a high degree, while I feel that what you’re pushing for in this video is what meta is actually about, using knowledge of the games mechanics and tools to perform to the highest degree possible in the most engaging ways possible. Meta in its truest conceptualization describes the “game” of figuring out the most optimal way to play Helldivers2 and that relies on more than just picking quasar and shield generator for EVERY op. I still like running the 500kg with the upgrade giving me two charges before rearming. As of late, I sometimes like to bring the Autocannon sentry for bugs since it seems to be pretty effective at clearing hordes and Chargers/BTs on its own. My only issue is that the rotation speed still feels a bit slow even with the upgrade, but overall it's been pretty solid at saving me from death.

I also ran the ballistic shield + laser cannon loadout for a long time! I found that a good sidegrade to the 380 is the walking barrage: it is as strong as the 380 and you do not need to get that close to fire it. The downside is that it does not clear an entire area, more an entire path.

Currently just running the liberator rifle default armor stun grenades and grenade pistol, Stalwart smg, EATs, Airstrike, Autocannon turret. Its so much fun and incredibly effective.

Liberator plus Stalwart is redundant, though. They're both bullet hoses effective only against light armor. Works better if you swap out one or the other for something that does a different job, especially if it can handle medium armor. Eruptor+Stalwart Blitzer+Stalwart Sickle+Arc Thrower (if you never want to worry about ammo again) Liberator+Flamethrower All good combos that do different jobs.

That flamethrower build would be amazing with the CM-17 Butcher armor. Its slower, but I've done a bunch of testing with it, and you can literally tank everything while the stim is active. Even getting bile spewed in your face. The only two things that i haven't been able to tank with it have been the charger stomp attack, and the bile titan stomp attack. The stim effect lasts almost exactly as long as the reload animation for the heavy machine gun, so if you stim and immediately reload, you can tank a crowd of enemies attacking you while reloading. The only issue is the stim effect goes away like half a second before the reload is over, so sometimes you may need to dive out of the animation, stim, and then finish the reload and run away while shooting. I like to run the arc blitzer shotgun with this, because i can spam it while moving (which is essential since the build is so slow). Also it looks cool. I also have not tested multiple biles getting spewed at me, im not sure exactly how much of that damage you can tank with this armor. I usually run the supply pack and i stim so often just because I'm anticipating damage or trying to reload, so i burn through the supply pack ammo pretty fast lol. I usually end the game with the most kills, so I've realized that slower builds are better at horde clear in general since you don't really have the option of running away anyway.

I like the PP + Laser Cannon + Jetpack combo for bots. You get to stagger groups of devs/berserkers without line of sight and the Laser Cannon takes care of everything else. I'll have to try that Bshield setup though. Blitzer + Quasar is also nuts vs bugs for an infinite kiting.

I will say that if a RR player likes to be long ranged and/or on high ground, AMR, grenade launcher and MG/HMG are all decent long ranged support options. Especially when using the supply pack strategy. There will be plenty of ammo for the support weapon to keep effective at the optimal ranges for them while making sure the launcher is always loaded and ready to fire.

Tip for eruptor and plasma punisher, if the enemy is already on you, diving backwards gives enough space to fire directly at them without dying to the hit. (and if they're not quite yet in melee range, you can avoid damage entirely)

The problem with the plasma punisher on Bugs is that it is useless against shriekers where the Breaker incendiary 1 shots them and the sickle at least has infinite ammo and no recoil to shoot at them

@@taylon5200 it's pretty fun! The jetpack changes things up the most. It takes some getting used to and learning how to optimize it since the recharge is quite limiting. Since the sickle is effectively a primary LMG and if you have the AMR, you can fly up and give amazing cover to your teammates. With the flamethrower you can just hop around burning stuff to a crisp and flying out when it's too hot.

The flamethrower will finish off a Bile Titan in about 3-6 seconds, flaming from below the titan into its chest, if the +25% damage to fire stratagems ship upgrade is bought and if you hit the titan with an Orbital Rail Cannon first.

yes, theres multiple ways to damage a bile titan with other things first then finish it off with any gun, but the flamethrower cant specifically kill one on its own :). ive posted many bile titan videos, go check the most recent one out!

I think the GL is really good against bots, especially when you get 4 stratagems and can get 2 call downs and a supply backpack with it. GL can take out everything the bots can throw at you if you target vents and it does it very quickly. You also don't need any kind of swarm call down because the GL handles swarms very easily.

I hesitate to use fire damage cuz the DoT bug still exists for non-hosts I believe. I’m looking forward to it being fixed cuz I wanna play with fire!!

Que canon plus expendable anti tank rocket launcher. Grenade pistol. Stun grenade. Blitzer shotgun. You can solo the game. Light armor with 2 extra grenades and max move speed. Shield also helps keep you alive. Cluster bomb. Keep kiting enemies. Solo and get all samples.

Something I don't think many people realize is that the Laser Cannon has nutty range. It pretty much shoots to the max render distance, and I don't think it has any damage fall off, it obviously just becomes incredibly hard to aim at something so far away and therefore so small.

Orbital Precision Strike is criminally under rated.

Orbital precision isnt like op or anything, but it consistently is fairly useful on both small groups, heavies, and buildings. Definitely my favorite stratagem for how satisfying it can be , as it can kill basically anything in one go if you are accurate and maybe a little lucky.

1:57 Or bring a more useful strategem and just ask them to call in one for you once theirs is off cooldown. It only gimps you for the first few minutes of the mission, at the trade off of having more firepower for the rest of it.

Honestly I still run Quasar and Las Cannon. I've just gotten in the habit after shooting the Quasar of staying mobile and changing to my primary and focusing lighter units and keeping the mobs culled to manageable numbers for a second then swamping back to Quasar and letting another round rip. Even solo it still works great. Keeping the chaff unit numbers down not only gives the Quasar time to cooldown but leaves me so I'm not in a rush and have time to focus on the shot and drill that next Charger, Titan, or Hulk in the head so I'm not missing the shot. As for the Las Cannon, well it's the Las Cannon just go ham and manage that heat and it will serve you well enough, as it's a fantastic weapon right now.

Same for me as before. Solo quaso/AMR/AC (longer reload still better than no time to reload), eagle 500/strike/rocket/cluster), Gatling/ac turret (or backpack vs bots), flex/extra slot deathray/380/precision/turret2/deploy-shield/EMS Team i lean more towards adds or AV depending on others. Primary varies, usually something explosive or anti medium now. Secondary GL. Grenade stun/impact (yes, I run impacts AND GL pistol a lot, hard to argue with 12 “get off my property” potatoes.

what pc specs you got? game looks really smooth for you lol, i only got an rtx 2070s, so the game has been very stuttery for me, any tips on how to improve that?
