I own the perception crank, love this boat, can fish, just cruise, easy to slide in and out of my Range Rover, lacks a disengage system if you hit something, very stable, instant reverse was a big deal for me. I have created a self loading cart as well as rod holders and umbrella holder for the yak.

My lengthy study/ analyzing brought me down to my two 12" favorites. Radar 115 and the Sportsman PDL120. I ended up choosing the Radar115. All because I could get it without the peddle drive and rudder. I want to custom build my own carbon fiber rudder. Do my own routing of the lines. I haven't decided on a drive yet. Drives seem to be extremely over priced. Maybe a referb or used might just do fine. Might also fabricate my own design with larger prop choices. Many peddle drives add very little resistance in peddling. Might even in time go with e-power. Who knows!

I saw the perception eccentrics when I was in Hamburg, Germany. I love to have these kinds of boat systems having stable maneuvers on the water surfaces. Now I am residing in Lahore, Pakistan. Where we have may water lakes and fishing dams in the Northern Provinces, Next we have our governmental plans to build more and more dams and water reservoirs in the southern parts of the country. Our North is full of streams and rivers. Actually, we five major large rivers and numerous streams in the region. We love to have the nature and work for that. This is quite normal while in Europe and the Southern and the Northern USA. I have not visited the Canada yet. But that is the very famous part of the beautiful world and its natural conservation, The new Kayak Systems are just cruise, easy to slide in and out of my Range of Rovers, lacks a disengage system if you hit something, very stable, instant reverse was a big deal for man of us. I have had my Hobie for 12 years, a friend has a mirage (1994), still going strong. New kayaks using old Hobie patent are made with inferior parts. And now parts are becoming hard to find has people try and replace their parts with Hobie parts.Hobie is still king. With reverse and ability to pedal in 6 inches of water!!!

My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. kzbin.infoUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

Honestly what made hobie was their drive system. Since they lost their patent for it and everyone has cloned it, there are som yaks out there that are just as good and cheaper than hobie. Still a great company though.

At 90 lbs one would need a trailer to take one to the water. My Hobie Revo 13 weighed 69 lbs and I needed to use a Hullivator to lift it the 7 feet to have it on the top of my truck topper and ended up spending several thousand dollars on a double jetski trailer (very expensive thanks to the Trump tax I paid for the aluminum trailer).
