I’ve been a huge supporter of pretreating paint before cleaning. Now that it’s warmer, I’ve been enjoying soap washing my 8 year DIY coated car weekly. I found myself pretreating a lot more with your rinseless and then following up with soap and a topper. The rinseless as a pretreat is well worth a try; it completely blew me away how well of a job it did and it’s very economical. I’m like Nick, I like to think more product equals a better clean but just the 256:1 of the rinseless works wonders on pretreating my car.

Great video, glad to have someone who knows tell people NOT to power wash a 'dry' car. that a pre-treat IS needed, especially the dirtier the car is. Now, I know the answer to my question on FB about pre-soaking. That answer is "It depends." Depends on how the car has been protected AND how dirty it currently is.

If I have some light road film and oils on my car from driving in the rain do I need to pre treat with an APC first or is rinseless wash enough? I’m also wondering if I utilize the sponge on the road film then dunk it in the bucket and rinse it out will I not applying the road film and oil back onto the car with the sponge?

Jeep question for you guys: When I return from a weekend off-road trip, and the Jeep is covered in mud, what is the best pre-treater to use before I wash it? Should I Mix Incredible Suds and All Clean to foam it for a pre-treatment? Or pre-treat with something else, like rinseless wash? I know hitting it with the pressure washer is terrible. I would appreciate advice on the best set of steps.

I love the cleaning power of rinseless, it's amazing how much it removes with a wipe of the sponge and no pressure. However, I get a lot of black specks and lines (1/4" to 1/2" long) on the lower panels mostly by the wheels. I wash my car weekly and it's garage kept. I can remove the black spots with the rag company bug sponge, rinseless and no pressure just wiping back and forth multiple times but it takes me just as long to remove those spots as washing the rest of the vehicle. Would a pre-rinse with all clean and pressure washer be effective enough to remove those or do I need tar remover or something else? Thanks!

Lately I've seen an increase in people applying things like tire and wheel cleaners with their foam cannons; basically putting in the solution in full strength or 1:1 and letting the cannon do the diluting. I'm sure you wouldn't generally recommend this because I feel like it would be a bit more wasteful, but do you have an other thoughts on that method?

You say that hitting s dirty vehicle with a pressure washer can introduce damage, but you're foaming with a pressure washer?
@diydetailofficial

The foam cannon greatly reduces the pressure output of the machine.

Absolutely! I used to do almost everything with ONR (Rinseless) and Optimum Power Clean (automotive safe APC). At least for maintenance washes you can do everything with those two at different dilution ratios, from exterior paint, bugs, wheels, tires, interior, glass (although I also like just distilled water & isopropyl alcohol from any grocery store for quick flashing on glass), etc, etc. If you use pH neutral soap instead of rinseless and an APC that is not safe for paint, then you may need to also use a special bug remover, a special drying aid, then depending on weather something like Formula 4 Spray Wax or Quick Beads to prevent water spots, among a few other chemicals. Now for actual decontamination, polishing, paint correction, and long term protection you need a lot more supplies but a lot of people hire a professional detailer for that once a year or once every couple of years while doing maintenance washes themselves on the weekends.

A pressure washer? Do you need a 1000.00 washer and a 700.00 polisher to do a good job or will a 80.00 Amazon polisher do a good job?

Totally different products, All Clean is an APC, BH Toouchless is a straight pre wash, if you really want to compare do so with the same category products, not to diss All Clean but tested it alongside BH APC (BH Surfex HD) and Surfex destroys All Clean (no offense DIY, i still love your products), plus APC are not super healthy for most ceramic coatings when used often, i observed a decline in coating performance by prewashing it will any kind of APC (sure it depends on the coating, no DIY coatings here in Poland so i use the next best thing - Gyeon).
