I really appreciate talk about air control and how situational shark race is. Good tier list. And yeah you either put Celestial top 1 because of flight or next to Shark because of everything else. About snake i just want to mention double shift mobility in base is really valuable anyway.

Shinobi : best setup movment potential airtime, decent throwable spec. Snake : good pasive, worst mobility move, best throwable spec. Puppet : combination of all good races : decent mobility (not as good as shinobi) good throwable spec. Shark : situational / needs on land abilities, worst race of all upgraded ones imo Celestial : decent race really good throwable spec, on demand flying ability that can save you.

no offense cowardcat, but i think ur thinking of snakes movement in a way that just doesnt "unlock" its full potential if u get what i mean. i think ur thinking of snakes movement in terms of purely or mainly offense, when its just not how its supposed to be used. it has offensive capabilities, as it can literally just get u closer to ur opponent and therefore give u more options, but its at its best defensively. being able to run so fast without wasting any moves or chi allows u to traverse and basically control the entire map, whereas stuff like puppet and shinobi can only "control" the air. u can get from point a to point b quickly, allowing you to charge chi (u can charge chi while moving with it and the snake can be deactivated instantly with no endlag) and just reposition urself in general. what snake lacks when it comes to using moves during dashes it makes up for in overall mobility and not being limited to air movement. id rather be able to infinitely chase and get away from my opponent then air camp for a few seconds and predictably use a move or charge chi. U basically can't run OR chase a snake user (as long as their moveset also has decent mobility), they control the map. as for the e specs, its clear snake's is better. puppets has good combo potential, but snake's has decent combo potential AND good combo starting potential. snake comes out faster and teleports u quicker than puppet latches onto and pulls, allowing u to more easily traverse the map and start combos. if ur opponent catches onto u using puppets e spec after block breaking to bypass their autododge, there isnt much u can do except for just not using the tech as much, which makes it less useful. on the other hand, snakes e spec simply comes out too fast and doesnt have much endlag which makes it way harder to predict (u also can move in the air more freely which allows u to leave ur opponents line of sight and attack). snake is clearly better than puppet. as for snake vs celestial, id say celestial might be better but it could very well be even. celestials movement is def better due to its tech, although snake still beats it out in sheer traveling distance. as for the e specs, celestial's is so bad to the point where ur basically forced to use either azim senko or dagai wire, which are both worse than puppets e spec, and snakes e spec is better than puppets e spec and way better than dagai and azim. snakes e spec arguably does what celestials flight does but better (ignoring cd) since it travels faster than it, but since celestials flight is on a way lower cd its still better. so, id say snake and celestial are arguably even, with celestial maybe having the slight edge. if u need travel distance, go with snake, as its e spec is a somewhat competent replacement for celestials flight, but if u dont really need/want more travel distance, and u think ur lucky enough to get it, go with celestial.
