texas fan here and i think it’s a person by person basis. if you are someone who doesn’t have family who went to TAMU then it isn’t as big. My family is legit 50/50 and all my friends are aggies so this is a huge rivalry equal to RRR for me. They are big in their own ways

Another important thing to mention about the a&m - ut rivalry is that outside of football the schools are two vastly different cultures, with a&m being the conservative country school and ut being the liberal city school. And then a&m’s seemingly lopsided hatred for ut stems from when ut was first founded, it was deemed the “more prestigious rich” university even though a&m was founded first, and lawmakers tried to keep a&m as this “poor ag school”. Of course now the two school are wealthy now, but that helps explain why the aggies hate for the longhorns is more intense in their traditions.

Of course OSU stadium isn’t going to be all hyped up when they lose to their biggest rival that they were supposed to blow out of the water. The rivalry is so much deeper than that. You should’ve also had some kinda Michigan fan in the video because it seemed very one-sided, and almost like we are only seeing one half of the big picture. The Texas vs A&M rivalry is generally seen as inferior to the Michigan OSU, bama auburn, and Army Navy rivalries from anyone who isn’t a Texan. But, the video was still pretty good and you got me to watch the whole thing. No hate, just some constructive criticism

@@SnapbackSports1 OSU as a major favorite at home got beat down. Of course their fans are going to be quiet. If that game was in Ann Arbor, it would have been loud as hell. If OSU won by 40-50 like the fans were expecting it would have been rocking. That said, I would give A&M the fanbase advantage, but for the historical impact this game has is why it is the "game" For that is did hold up, because Michigan kept OSU from appearing in the Conference Final with the win. Go Blue.

The stakes pale in comparison to The Game or the Iron Bowl since neither school is playing for a legitimate chance at anything. The greatness of the United States is when you see guys like those Indian kids that go to Texas A&M, If he was on the phone you would have no idea that he wasn't some white frat bro who just loved his football team. That's the true meaning of assimilation and that's why this country is great. To fully embrace our culture here as well as the culture your family is from is the best kind of citizen you can have. When I went to college, we were a division two basketball team that had one or two pretty good in state rivalry games for us. Most of the Asian students at our school would never be at any of the athletic events, that's why I love seeing people of all colors coming together and drinking that college football Kool-Aid. I think it just makes for a tighter community.

It was actually 23 1/2 point spread, they raised the spread after Coleston Loveland was ruled out 1 hour before the game. Joe Klatt even say it about 20 times during the game broadcast that Ohio St was losing to a 23 1/2 point underdog.
