I sincerely love this discussion! You did a great job explaining the advantages of high end optics. I enjoyed the content b/c I like shooting powder burners. Good optics are a huge advantage on a long range rifle. And good optics improve the enjoyment and the accuracy of a long range rifle. But, you're having this discussion on an airgun channel? And MOST of your shots with an air rifle are going to be under 100yds. To me, a high end optic for an air rifle is going to be $300 or maybe $500, not $5,000. Of course there's an exception for guys shooting at air gun competitions, which only makes up about .0001% of the air gun community. Why not stay with the $1,000 and under perameters, which covers about 99.999% of the air gunning community? Let's discuss which sub $500 optic offers the best bang for the buck for squirrel hunters vs guys shooting targets at 50 - 100yds?

I quite like my march fx 1.5x15x42. Has a lot of cons, but wouldn't trade this scope for anything else on the market.

It all gets you to the same place, but for those who dial, do you want to dial say 3 mil's or 10 moa? I like small numbers cause big numbers are hard 😅

Folks, the majority of those scopes are all discovery scopes. They are the manufacturer that started the fad. Great scope, 375.00

You get what you pay for I’d be willing to bet they have far more qc issues not saying they are bad but you pay a little more for better tracking, quality control and a good warranty. Also if you go with something like an element optic. It’s a company backed by actual Airgunners so you’re supporting the airgun industry because fx airguns and element optics are owned by the same family so theirs that.

@@shiz8048 as someone who also works in an industry with access to optics, you might be surprised how low the margins are on higher end, expensive scopes. I was personally kinda shocked

@@recklessjunkiebut elements made in china, and nexus cost you more than gun better to buy vortex,discovery,athlon,hawk

@recklessjunkie 3 ай бұрын
@@jaibharat3723 You do know that all those companies you just named have their low end scopes made in China right? Even vortex. It’s only at a certain threshold that they have their mid to high end optics produced in other countries. For instance the nexus is made in Japan and fun fact you can get a gen one nexus for $1100 on sale and as low as $800 that’s Japanese glass for around a grand give or take. You’ll be hard pressed to find a company selling a scope under a $1000 that’s not made in china and if you do its on sell I’m talking msrp. And this whole thing about Chinese manufactured products are lower quality is just a dumb way to think nowadays everything you think of is most likely made there iPhones, Dji Drones, all your video game consoles you know they also make karma red panda’s and saber tactical airgun accessories Donny has his moderator’s manufactured their Also. So this whole china makes lesser quality products is totally ignorance in my opinion..
