I was looking at Pulsar mainly and iRay options 2nd for a lower power more thermally sensitive optic. Was leaning toward the Pulsar Talion XQ35 Pro but what companies would you maybe steer clear of?

Clarion dual lens are they getting that from iRay considering they have patent on that? Or do they have something better?

Not sure about Infiray’s patent but we know of another thermal company who had prototypes of this dual lens technology years ago. AGM is definitely not getting their tech from Infiray on this one and we think their system was actually a little better than Infiray’s.

Do yall have any experience with the rid storm s6? I’m thinking about her a thermal for hunting, and like the idea of having a unit I can QD and use like a handheld. Any thoughts on that type of unit?

We have evaluated Pard and do not currently believe they offer a product or service that we can recommend in good faith to our customers. We only sell and review optics that we believe offer a good value for the dollar, are high quality and come from companies that we trust to provide good service and support. There are much much better thermal companies in the US at this time.

I bought a pard scanner last year (used) it's a 384 unit It does good, BUT it is very hard to find any information on it, which can be incredibly irritating.

Why the Bering Optics hate? Don't see them on any of your best 640 scanners, scopes, etc. You used to love those guys.

Bering Optics hasn’t released a new quality thermal rifle scope in several years. The LRF model was 1-2 years too late and takes 4 AA batteries? We believe Bering was a leading company when Infiray was making their optics (the original Hogsters and Yoters) but since then they have released nothing but the less than desirable LRF models. There are no other scope models on this list as old as the Bering models. We have 0 hate for Bering but there comes a time when new technology passes a model or company by. No different than N-Vision went from being our top high end pick to barely being mentioned. It’s not personal, our duty is to leave bias at the door and be honest with our customers. Thats what keeps them buying from us.

We’ve tested them and the jury is out….they are VERY expensive for the image quality you get. If you’re willing to pay $1000-$2000 for the warranty they might be ok.

What?$&#! Pulsar Thermion 2 xp50 is discontinued or gone. That's a shocker to hear this flow out of Jason's mouth. I thought the xp50 was Pulsar's top selling thermal.

It was Pulsar’s best selling scope until 2x fell out of favor with 90% of the hunting market. The way most people hunt at night is WAY different now than 6-8 years ago. 3x fits the new hunting style of most people much better. And to be clear the Thermion 2 XP50 Pro is the 5th XP50 model Pulsar has produced. It doesn’t mean there will never be another one made. 👍🏼 Thanks for watching!

The RH25 has been discontinued and gone. The RH25 V2 has been released and is $4999. We also do not consider it a scope since it truly doesn’t offer much in the way of realistic hunting/shooting abilities. Its main use is definitely as a helmet mounted or handheld optic. Thanks for watching!
