Here is 1 tip for you instead of using paper towels to catch the excess . use greaseproof or baking sheets to catch it that way you dont lose any excess because it slips right off and does not leave any in the fibres like it will on paper towels

My last build I used ModPodge & baking soda, the painted with lacquer and flat clear, turned out pretty good,

Although, so far, I’m not a fan of the embossing as I can’t get it to look like I think it should. Anyway, I bought a gallon of Amazon clear glue as it was much cheaper then all of the others. Yea that makes me wholly committed to flocking now. I’ve tried it full strength and didn’t work well. I diluted it which worked better but I still get a bunch that doesn’t stay on. The experiment continues but I don’t think it’s the glue, it’s the operator learning the methodology

well for one thing you should have used the same color imposing and paint or The Same color glue as your imposing. I use food color in my clear glue it works better whatever imposing I use like red I use red food color it Works great
