What’s the best way to draw kids?

Almost bedtime, great way to finish the day. I really enjoy how effortlessly you invoke your magic to the paper. My characters are based on my grandchildren. We imagine we are flying somewhere each volume (I'm mid vol. 4 right now). I hope to one day do better with my drawings. C'mon fingers, get moving the right way. 🙂 Thanks again for encouragement.

I went to the Quentin Blake exhibition that is on in Aberdeen at the moment. Absolutely fantastic! They are full of movement and expression. Someone said that illustration is not about making pretty pictures but dramatising and capturing emotion which he does brilliantly. I also love Jane Hissey's work but she has a very different style, so detailed. She admitted that it takes her so long to illustrate her books as she makes the toys before she starts 😱. I am currently working on a couple of different projects, one with children and the other animals. I am thinking of turning the one with children into a series as I have a few different stories in mind. I struggle with consistency across poses but just keep drawing until I get as close as I can. Hi, this is very useful and encouraging! I would like to illustrate my next book having used graphics for my previous books. Do you need to use a scanner to copy your illustrations and upload them to your computer?

The Character in my book is a sleepwalking Chicken who is also a germaphobe. Illustrations make me laugh....as I'm always learning. The theme is belonging even when you are very different
