You should (if you’d like) compare this to buying a 1 year old iPhone every year. This way my inner consumer gets satisfied, I save money, and I’m never too behind on tech
@TheSonyExperienceАй бұрын
The best way is to buy it outright and sell it each year. Not trade but sell. There are many websites where you can look at the prices they are paying, and they send you a prepaid label and box. I sold my wife's 14 Pro Max, which upgrades every two years. I also sold my iPhone 15 Pro Max because I upgrade every year. I got $535 for her phone and $735 for mine. She got a 16 plus, and I got a 256 16 pro. My out-of-pocket expense after the $1300 I got back was $935.

Yeah which carrier u have? Because imy really considering changing from T-Mobile since it's so expensive... It's $60 each line and I just want something better and cheaper... I'm considering getting US mobile but I'm afraid I won't get the same coverage w get w Tmobile which I always have connection anywhere where I live and I have an old phone too I bet the new phones have even faster but might just save for iphone and buy it directly from Apple idk yet though

Apple upgraded my XS Max to a 14 Plus 500gb for free because they longer have parts or replacements for my phone. I’ve paid for apple care+ for 6 years without using it now when I needed it they gave me a “new” (for me) phone.

Wondering why you don’t compare Xfinity plans? Their carrier trade in for 2 phones is the best promo currently (plan ends up at 65.26 per month the first 12 months and roughly $95.26 per month for the following months. Includes trade in deal with $1k credit for 16 pro and 16 pro max phones. The total monthly cost includes 2 lines, 2 device payments and taxes). I assume you don’t add it for comparison because you have to be an Xfinity internet customer to get the deal.

A whole generation of people complaining they can’t afford to live because housing, food and cost of living are too expensive…but they upgrade their iphone every 3 years….you do you…they’re your priorities.😂

After three years, my S21 that was brand new has about 5-6 hours now of battery life doing normal things like KZbin, browsing the web, listening to music, etc. Granted the S21 it seems like had poor battery even at launch compared to those coming out around the same time. Most people aren't using a phone these days as just a phone to call and text, but essentially a mini computer. They're answering emails, shopping, using it for entertainment, and all that entails. I don't plan on upgrading after my next phone for quite a few years, but phones aren't like laptops or pcs. You can't upgrade parts, repairability is rarely an option, and they don't have the same longevity of a laptop.
@scottyee707Ай бұрын
they will justify the phone, try shoes or some other useless thing they get, my grandpa wore the same shoes for 15 years and more sometimes while my friends can barely go 15 weeks before getting a new pair.

Hey, I looked at the linked spreadsheet, and in the sheet for the base iPhone 16, it seems some of the price columns are still $899 or $929 for the Plus instead of $799 or $829 for the base. Can you please fix those?

Us mobile now says unlimited priority on the website
@StetsonDoggettАй бұрын
Yes, it technically is unlimited priority data. For Unlimited Starter, the first 35GB are at full speeds, and then all remaining data is capped at 1 Mbps. For Unlimited Premium, you get 100GB of priority data at full speeds, and then unlimited priority data at 1 Mbps.

@TheSonyExperienceАй бұрын
@@iLuseMy1v1s because folks with iPhones upgrade on average every 2 years, while most Android users upgrade every 3. IPhone users are more likely to upgrade than Android users each year as well, although it's a much smaller percentage. It is highly unlikely half his audience is Android users, given his content is focused more on iPhones. You don't need to appeal to everyone.

I just tried this and nothing was matching up to your quotes. ATT will give you credit based on condition and age so for me with trying to trade in 2 iPhone 12 pro max's and 1 second gen SE to get 2 iPhone 16 pro max's and 1 iPhone 16 . ATT would only give me 830$ per iPhone 12PM and 350$ for the SE and quoted me 180$ a month with autopay for 36 months but they only give my one plan option called 4g, it only has 4gb of data with overage charges... Verzion 3 lines at 50$ unlimited welcome plan will take my old iPhone 12s and give me 1000$ for each one making my bill 122$ with auto pay plus a 300$ gift card for switching. Am I missing something ?

Don't postpaid providers have a bunch of hidden fees?
@gparyaniАй бұрын
Those are factored into the prices shown in the video. Keep in mind that while this is true for most cases, T-Mobile's Go5G series of plans have tax- and fee-inclusive rates.
@JayfromusaАй бұрын
In your google sheets, in Q9, the monthly cost currently is (NofX/12). I think it should be (NofX/36) instead. You did the full cost of 3 years for the plan and phone, but then mistakenly divided by 12 months instead of 36 months. Or perhaps you meant to instead divide by 12 but then you should have used the O column and not the N column. Otherwise, great sheet and thanks for all the information!
