Even the Gran Turismo games showed that this rule wasn't applied to most of the Japanese sport cars. And they showed it cleverly also. When you went to the digital garage the power was 276BHP. Once you got the car in your garage and looked again, it had the real figure for the power.

The NA1 NSX makes 272hp... I have mine dynod. (You can't even go over 300hp wth 240cc injectors which the car had) Mine have new header, new exhaust, different cams, new injectors, new valve springs, intake and makes 305hp... Also on nsxprime you can see stock dyno tests, and all of them is around 272. The orange NSX on in the video is an NA2 NSX which was produced AFTER the agreement. 2005.

I put my 276bhp JDM Subaru Legacy GTB Twin Turbo (Manual) on a dyno and it made 302bhp.. And that car is 26 years old Meanwhile i also dyno'd my Renaultsport clio 197 and it made 181 😅

Yeah, kei cars only have to adhere to ccm and size limits, not power, by law anyway. Also, the Beat wasn't the first one, it was the Suzuki Alto Works with 64 PS in 1990

Wrong on both counts. The original Honda Legend (before the gentleman's agreement) was available with a single, variable-geometry turbo on its 2.0-liter V6. No Legend ever came with an inline-6. The Legend that "broke" the agreement had a big, naturally-aspirated 3.5-liter V6.

I had a version 5 sti jdm, it was 16 years old at the time when I had it on the dyno in 2015/16 ish. It made 271bhp in standard form after all them years… must of been around 300bhp 16 years earlier surely
