I actually like the changes, I just applied and was approved for the Reserve card. What really sold me is the companion certificate being opened up to all the new locations that makes it a keeper card for sure. The credits are just the cherry on top now.

I upgraded to the Business Reserve, after downgrading in October. The new companion pass isn't useful to me in coach, but Comfort+ or better, extremely valuable. Delta Stays sweetens the pot. The other credits seem silly and distracting. I have shifted half of my loyalty to Alaska, but this sweetens the other side of the coin.

I had the Delta sky Miles card I travel to Asia and now they will not except sky Miles restricted area now I’m stuck with a couple hundred thousand miles

Not worth having Amex Delta Sky Miles Platinum card. You can't even visit the Airport lounges even if you want to pay $50. Not going to renew and just take the Blue.

How do I get the free upgrade for my Delta Platinum Card? I’m confused for that one. I just got my card.

First of all upgrades are not available on Basic Economy bookings. You will then need to provide your SkyMiles number when you book your flight to be eligible for an upgrade if there is room available. There is more info here: www.delta.com/us/en/skymiles/medallion-program/medallion-upgrades

There is a sign-up bonus but you must meet the spend requirements to actually receive the miles.

do you recommened to upgrade from Silver to Reserve? they are offering 25,000 skymiles to up grade but i think it is not enough. I just upgraged from Gold to Plat two months ago and received 10,000 skymiles.

I think the Platinum card is better value to be honest, the Reserve card is quite expensive now.

Yes you get both. If you get the Business versions of both the cards as well (all four cards), you get Gold Medallion Status

Can i get some opinions. I fly out of delta primarily every month for work. Do yall think i should get the gold card get the bonus, downgrade to blue, get the plat get the bonus and rinse and repeat and keep the delta reserve?
