Apologies if this has already been answered here, but I've just ordered a Coolzy Go, and was wondering if I could order a remote separately on your site and it would work with that model? Thx! Can't wait for it to arrive.

Yes, a remote control can be purchased from the website www.coolzy.com/au/product/remote-control/. However the Coolzy-Go does not have remote control functionality as the name suggests it simply open the flaps and off you go with the prearranged settings.

Sir. The manual book written, we should open the stopper to let the water flow. My question Is, this stopper should be removed permanently or should we attach it again? When Will we remove it, and when Will we attact it . When we operate the machine, we should remove or should attach position?
@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom 6 ай бұрын
If you choose to remove the stopper to allow the unit to operate as a dehumidifier, you will need to empty the drawer approx. every 4-5 hours. The stopper can be replaced at any time. The unit operates more efficiently as a cooler when the stopper is in place as we use the extracted water to help with heat exchange.

Thanks for the question. You can use the Coolzy in any size room but remember, it won't cool a whole room. It creates a cool zone in the room as it is a refrigerated fan. Customer's regularly use it for indoor exercise bikes to help them stay cool while working out. Yes, the Coolzy will work on humid days as it is a real A/C. Hope that helps,

This is an interesting unit. I drive commercial trucks and tow a small ford fiesta that I also sleep in from time to time. Obviously in 90f + temps where i travel in the US my options are to put the windows down, or to run the car all night. Neither are great options. What do you think about Running one of these in a car with a portable power station ? How big of a portable power station do you think would be needed to run this for 6-8 hours at a time ?

Hi, great question :) we made a video showing our unit running on a 12v battery using an inverter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4alfqijp6eSisk The application you're talking about is actually pretty popular in Australia. Our long haul truckers use Coolzy's to keep the cab warm as it can often get to around 100 degrees F in our deserts. Just FYI, in the USA we ship our units from Salt Lake City Utah.

the coolzy pro that I am currently using at night the compressor often stops working, why?
@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom Жыл бұрын
the compressor will turn On and Off according to the temperature that is set using the remote. If the temperature is set to 22c and the machine senses that temp via the thermostat, the machine will turn off the compressor. Another reason the compressor might turn off, is if it is overheating. This only happens in very rare circumstances (extreme heat and restricted airflow for the air intake). If you like, send a video of the issue to contact@coolzy.com and we'll be able to diagnose.

Would be nice if it runs on 12v and half the size to run in a small campervan, even if it means reducing the size of the condenser and evaporator since it’s blowing the air at spot, it doesn’t need to be as big
@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom 3 ай бұрын
thanks for the comment. In development we tried the configuration that you've mentioned and we couldn't get the COP to an acceptable level. Another thing to note on the compressor side, if you use a 12v compressor, the costs goes up by a factor of 4. In air conditioning it's a delicate balancing act between function, cost and operation. We've done our best to get the balance right with the Coolzy :)

@@Coolzycom Thanks for the response. It’s impossible to live full-time in a van in the Aussie summer so i believe most of us would fork out that money if it works well. I would get the coolzy pro if it was half the size and 12v coz I won’t be able to fit that in my camper and i don’t want to run my inverter more than 4hrs a day. Looking forward to one day Coolzy will have something smaller on 12v

@Coolzycom Жыл бұрын
Very cool idea! we're always working to innovate and optimize. So far, the Coolzy is packed pretty tight with all of the technology required for cooling. The hard part about going smaller is the size of the condenser and evaporator. You need them large enough to pass a reasonable amount of air through. They also have to be large enough to allow the refrigerant gas to expand enough to remove the energy from the air. It's a tricky balancing act!

This is NOT really an air-conditioner, by its design in is a dehumidifier. Where is the collection tank for generated condensation water and how many litres does it store? When full, does Coolzy stop? .
@Coolzycom
@Coolzycom Жыл бұрын
Hi Bonobo, a Coolzy uses R290 refrigerant gas which is compressed and run through a heat-exchanger. This creates a cool surface that air is sucked through and subsequently cooled. The cool air is expelled to the user. If any condensation forms there are two condensation reservoirs. The first catches the water and reuses it to improve the cooling of the heat-exchanger. If this gets too full, it overflows to a second water catcher. this is much large and can be emptied by removing it from the rear of the machine. We've only ever seen this fill up in extremely humid conditions in Cairns. If it does get too full, the machine has a safety switch that turns on and the whole unit stops operating while it waits for the water to be emptied. Again, this is extremely rare.
