No mention of Maxima Chameleon? How does this compare?

As Brian states here, please send your questions over to admin@madriveroutfitters.com or give a call to the shop. They will be happy to help/answer. Sorry but we do not have that intel here.....we just respond to comments for Brian.

I like the chameleon too, a really informative view of the other Maxima lines.

A big thanks for your inspiration on this Turkey Day, currently working on my dry fly supply, staying calm as I anticipate a great dinner at friends. Cheers, Bryan or Brain😊

Chameleon has been widely used in Wisconsin since the 80s for tannic waters.
@MadriveroutfittersАй бұрын
But that wasn't the question...........this is a Q & A video. Thanks for watching though.
@daveartwoodАй бұрын
@Madriveroutfitters I was really responding to other comments more than your video. . It is worth a mention of the other widely used available type, though.

Been using the chameleon for my butt sections for years , no problem. My steelhead leader formulas are from John Nagy , noted Erie steelhead guide . Been using them for over 12-15 yrs and work for me. Most of my steelhead leaders are 12-13’ , not really casting distance in most of the Pa streams. Just chucking n drifting through the holes. The chameleon has great abrasion resistance against those slate bottom streams.

Chameleon for the butt, Ultra for the middle and Cortland for the tippet. But seriously, Brian fishes a lot and he’s got the experience. Brian knows and his advice is invaluable.
@MadriveroutfittersАй бұрын
Just called him and he does not use Chameleon for butts. He says it's too stiff. See other videos for proof?
@TedJ71Ай бұрын
Been using chameleon for the butt section of my leaders for last 10 years , no problem. Will turn over the largest flies. I even make furled leaders from Chameleon for large musky/ pike flies. I believe the chameleon is the most abrasion resistant of all the maximas .

What about chameleon maxima which is widely avalaible here in Europe?
@MadriveroutfittersАй бұрын
So is Ultragreen and Clear! Apparently a reason he does not talk about Chameleon. Feel free to call him or e-mail him with questions...as he states here.

Poor Jake. He bought clear after watching a video. The UltraGreen after another. Now he will want to buy the Cortland leader material. No shade, I am the exact same way! I love how many options this sport gives us.

Always entertaining...now, fussing over the color of a butt section of leader...how wonderful. OK, I understand Brian needs to make a living, and good on him for answering that (silly) question. KISS...no need to make something simple complicated b/c the manufacturers suggest otherwise.
@finn6326Ай бұрын
The main difference isn’t the color. Please watch the video before commenting. Much love
@MadriveroutfittersАй бұрын
@@neilshepherd9979 Sorry but he’s not fussing over the color. The stiffness is what is important. Not a silly question at all, wildly important as Brian has shown in dozens of videos.
