Neither did the tithe nor the first fruits have anything to do with money in the bible. Yes, we should give offerings, money or otherwise, to support our local churches and other ministries. No, we are not biblically promised any material blessing for doing so.

Also, if you are gonna give a tithe based on OT theology then 10% is not correct. You must give in and around 22-25% . The 3 tithes in the OT has nothing to do with wages/salary

Was there money when Abraham gave the spoils of war? This was a lot of things that was stolen from the nephew of Abraham and many other people.

@@leefortuin9839 if the tithe had nothing to do with money, then why were the poor exempted from this?

@@calebgibson55I didn’t say MONEY, I said Salary/wages. 2 different concepts. My point is that there are 3 types of tithes, so 10% of your salary does not correspond to the OT pattern for tithing. Also, there is no longer Levitical Priesthood. We have a Royal Priesthood of another order now. Giving is vital & we should actually go beyond the 10th of salary

I think tithing is mandated, according to the book of Micah. Correct me if I am wrong. However, God sees the heart. You should not give out of compulsion but with generously and whole heartedly. God is not the God of poverty who wants your money or wealth. He sees how faithful you are in your giving. Tithing is an acknowledgement that all your resources come from God.

Seeking first the kingdom of God has got nothing to do with any kind of giving of money to approach the throne of God through JESUS

Amen! Finally someone that gets it. This topic scares many pastors bc they are afraid of its not “mandated” then they want bring in money. It’s to my experience that when we give from the heart out of faith and through his grace that we can do alot more. It’s a privilege not a necessity! It’s also not about money always! It’s about time and talents.

The problem I see in this is from experience in numerous churches over the past 45 years of my life. You have pastors living in million dollar homes driving $100,000 cars and trucks boats etc. And there's people in the congregation living in single wide trailers barely making it from week to week. I totally believe in helping the poor the needy and the widows. But the monies are not being used properly anymore 99% of the people on TV or absolute wolves. I give to a food bank now in my town it literally helps feed people that need food, no more money to any church that man has made with this hands. I do not attend any man-made building anymore we have a study group and no one receives a penny we all work for a living we all give our money to food Bank or to hand money out to individuals that can use it, not to millionaires that want more money that use 1% that's given to them. Thanks for your video

This is all biblically sound. I appreciate this video. A key thing any believer should note is context! Though I did like what you said, look at the spiritual aspect. I was reading Deuteronomy 26 and verse 12 stood out a lot, which says the first fruits is to be given to the Levite, the stranger, the orphan and the widow. And I thought to myself something that I shall keep secret, but it's good. 😗😁 Anywho, thank you. The Lord bless you.

Please anyone should give me clarity on my question about first fruit please. I will really appreciate 🙏🏽 In giving first fruit from my harvest, which in my case would be money, is there a cap as to how much of it should be given? Using tithe as an example which is said to be about 10% Is there something like this as pertaining to first fruit please Thank you

Proverbs 3:9 if you are a fixed salary earner i.e you earn a certain amount of money each month, and suddenly your company gives an increase, that first increase goes to God. So let's say 20 000 to 25 000. 5 000 would be given as the first fruit. It is for all thine increase. So if in another job u work and there's an increase then the first increase goes to God as well then the 10% tithing comes after the first fruit has been given. These things are important regardless of whether they are old testament or new testament. As Jesus has said he didn't come to abolish the law. Moreso, God of old testament is the same as God in the new testament. His decrees and laws still hold. Answering this under the influence of the spirit gave me answers to as I was battling with this issue this moment.

@marveloussomtochukwunelson1075 Жыл бұрын
@@wabwile_is_innocent. Since you increased from 10000 to 21500 you give 11500 as first fruit. Then when you receive your next payment, it will be a tithe you pay which is 10%. I hope you got.
