For all you gear heads out there, check out the loadout I use when I’m out hunting mule deer in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKrMiHdnnauJaqc

Yes I have the vortex one, it's okay. It does the job but not very well. I always have to close my 12x50 binoculars so they become a little smaller to fit them in every time I put them in, and then the little mesh pockets are good for basically my wind indicator powder, and a small call. One of the elastic bands on the right hand side mesh pocket came loose about a month ago. I've used this I know harness two seasons. Overall it's okay, for the price it's definitely worth it I think it's like $29. But definitely looking for something else to use next season that can fit my rangefinder comfortably on the side along with the wind detection powder.

Thanks for your input. The FHF Gear harness’ side pouches are much smaller than the Vortex one which will most likely not fit a rangefinder. I use a separate rangefinder pouch that attaches to the harness of the bino harness.

Yeah its slightly too small for my 12x50

I went with the FHF medium. I wish it gave a few more inches of adjustment for a big guy, also my straps weren’t cut and sown evenly. Off by an inch so it doesn’t look even, doesnt warrant a return but Im disappointed. I love the design of the bino pouch tho.

Thanks for leaving a comment with your experience. Did you end up dropping a line to FHF Gear to see if they could help you out?
@gardy902 жыл бұрын
While I don’t argue the fact that the FHF is the better harness, one of your negative point on the vortex also applies to the FHF and you didn’t mention it when talking about the FHF. Boils down to user error, your straps will always back out if you don’t back lash them.
@MrJarski812 жыл бұрын
Thanks for pointing that out, back lashing helps. Still find the Vortex straps to be more of a slippery material than the FHF straps though.

I have the same diamondback binos, debating if I should get the small or medium sized fhf harness. What size do you use and how do they fit? Great video!
@MrJarski813 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bluesbeast, glad you found my video useful! I went with the medium size harness and they fit really well after tightening up the elastic for the closure. I figured it was a safer bet as well to go with medium size for when I upgrade my glass in the future or if I get a higher powered pair.

I have a vortex 1000 range finder. Would it fit into one of the mesh side pockets? Looking for a harness that will also give me quick access to my ranger
@MrJarski813 жыл бұрын
Hey Dean. Good question, I checked with my Vortex 1300 ranger and it does fit in the Vortex GlassPak but it’s very tight, it is difficult to pull it back out. Pockets on the FHF Gear harness are too small for it. Have you looked into range finder pouches that can be attached beside the bino harness?
@flugit2 жыл бұрын
I think we have the same binos, what size did you buy from fhf? Medium?
@MrJarski812 жыл бұрын
Yup, medium’s the size I bought.

Thanks! They both are really light weight. I will see if I can weigh them for you. I can’t find a weight listing anywhere on websites.

Throw them in the trash and buy a marsupial gear
@MrJarski812 жыл бұрын
Haven’t taken a look at the marsupial harness yet. I’ll remember to check them out when I’m in the market for a harness again.
