pile 3: this did resonate deeply! The person I am inquiring about is someone whom I've had such a deep connection with, that it truly shatters the meaning of love in all the senses of the word. We have caused each other a lot of pain somehow, which was basically just a reflection of the hurt we already carried inside anyhow. I owe a lot of my personal growth to this experience which has always felt so deeply fated, that it never made sense to me, as a more scientifically inclined person, but I knew I had to follow it and so I let myself fall in turmoil with all my heart and soul. It truly shattered all I ever knew. Real paradigm-shift. I only just recently succeeded to let the light shine on this relationship and started to see all those lovely colors and the plenitude, where before all I could see was a dark hole of pain, distrust and hate. I am still uncertain if I should contact him again, even though until now he has always answered, when my message was heart filled. The thing is, I am in a nice relationship with someone I love now and we are even engaged to be married, but there is this nagging feeling inside, that there is still unresolved business with "the one" and somehow I feel like he might actually need my help. Yet I don't want to hurt my fiancé by reaching out to my ex-lover and I'm especially scares of getting hurt again. I would be reaching out as his friend though, because I have no intention of getting back together with him, even though it makes me wonder. After all these years...

I think noone can help you with that question. It's a personal situation and only you will be able to take the right decision. Anyhow I think its not your duty to help him. Your connection might have been fated to teach each other something. Some connections are not permanent and once the mission is full filled its time to move on. I think if you are in a happy connection right now you should focus on that and not go back to him. Once we move on we always tend to see the nice side of things . But that can also be toxic. Maybe it's less about him and more about your own wounds, inner insecurities etc. why you want to reach out to him again. Maybe try to self reflect on it. I think being in a friendship with someone that you have deeply loved is only in rare cases possible and might just be an excuse that you tell yourself. Thats why I said : maybe reflect the whole situation and try to find out why exactly you want to reach out to him again. What makes you do that, despite being in an engaged and fulfilling relationship with someone else. You might risk that happiness...cause for sure your now partner will question you. And by the way: it's a huge misconception that love causes pain. It doesn't. Love always wants to bring the highest potential out of you. Iam not saying that in that connection was no love. But it might have been there to make you aware of your shadows and grow from it. But a fulfilling love relationship is something else. It will always help you and support you with what you truly are and it will encourage you to live your highest potential. So never settle for less. If you do thst that tells alot about your own missbeliefs that you still might have about yourself

And also...you can't really help a soul with her lessons. The soul must go through it alone. You can make aware of the lesson..you can trigger it..but every soul must go its path alone. That's why we are here. Your duty is to promote your own growth and go your own path. That's your only duty. So I personally would say don't look back and focus on fulfillment. But if your soul still wants to learn another lesson then go back. But don't call it love. It's just a contract that you made before comming to this earth. A "working contract" so to say. But love doesn't cause pain and struggles. It never does. To think that is wrong....and its the reason why so many people are trapped in unhappy relations.
