He missed the opportunity to copy the furlough schemes in the EU, Australia and Canada that avoided the wholesale unemployment across the country. He failed to implement a ban on travel from China until 6 weeks after everyone in the 'developed world', and a further 3 weeks for a ban on Europe, which is where the virus broke into the US from in the first place. And most unfortunate of all, when faced with the offer of acquiring 100m extra vaccines, he turned it down and they went to other countries. Who do you suggest blaming here, because presidential decision are what screwed the nation, the individual stories of up and down spikes in states are due to the governors, but the entire upward trajectory since the beginning is down to the lack of presidential leadership and the complete failure to act on time to ban countries, force PPE development and force lockdown measures.

That is just one of many ways they have cut through the steel fence (not a wall, not like China's wall) They are also using corrosive chemicals to breakdown the steel post. I live in southern Az. I hunt and fish in southern arrivaca and I can tell you from first hand experience that the cartels 100% control the areas where there is no wall. The cost to patrol it, surveillance it, and secure it is astronomically higher than the price of the wall. But it does totally mess up migration routes of things like white tail and pronghorn and big horn. They can make allowances for those though. Make CCTV monitored wildlife passes. Have a laser trip a camera every time a deer or something passes through.

So many sections of the so-called border wall are already crumbling. Shoddy workmanship, substandard materials, and crappy contractors means we will be paying for the sections that are left forever it's going to need constant maintenance if they want it to keep standing. Think of any building or home in your town or city that has sat empty and unmaintained for even a year. Now imagine if that building or house had been constructed with maximizing profits in mind utilizing the cheapest materials you can possibly lay your hands on. And let's not forget how an ineffective it is for stopping humans, we have thumbs and we have ropes. Of course it dose an excellent job at stopping wildlife. Which may be the point more than anything considering how much the Trump administration seems to not care about the environment and wildlife.
