I know this comment thread is a year old, but I did some research and the same year the first season of this show ran, the US and Canada did move DST back to the second Sunday in March, rather than the first Sunday in April. I’d have to assume that the filming of the first season took place some time in 2006, so TECHNICALLY, the answer given is correct.
