Similar to the vastness of space, which has inspired numerous fictional narratives about potential threats beyond our planet, the unexplored depths of the world's oceans provide a rich source of aquatic intrigue. Although the subject of sea monsters has often led to an abundance of low-quality films, several cinematic interpretations of this theme exist, largely within the horror genre, though not exclusively.

I was not aware that in the film "underwater" was Cthulhu....I knew they awoke a massive creature...but I didn't know it was Cthulhu....

What about Cthulhu's actual home address, R'lyeh? You can even find its longitude and latitude in the story The Call of Cthulhu. How about Gorgo, The Giant Behemoth, Reptilicus ? All the ones from the Asylum movies? AAARRRGH!
