Raw carrots are great. Especially dipped in peanut butter. Pickled or fermented carrots are also very good snacks. But my favorite is roasted or boiled carrots. When I make soups and stews, I always put in extra carrots for myself.

Guys, guys, what you're having are salt cured anchovies though. Fresh anchovies are indeed creamy and delicious - and you can have them deep fried, sautéed with tomatoes or even raw (marinated in lemon juice and olive oil). They're so good... I briefly liked olives as a kid, now I don't like them. Carrots i didn't expect. Brussel sprouts? Broccoli? Mushrooms? But carrots made it. Never had anchovies. And I like pickles. The rest are kinda neutral to me

I was visiting some relatives in a small town in France and stopped at a restaurant for lunch. My friend was with and we don't speak tons of French, but recognized the words for "fish" and "pizza" so we ordered it as we both like anchovies. When the food arrived we were surprised to see a full, big ass carp slapped directly on the pizza, head, tail, and all. Those crazy Frenchmen...

From my experience, the quality of a pickle depends on the brand. Mt. Olives pickles are really nice and crunchy compared to Vlasics rubbery mush.

Mt olive pickles are like arrowhead water to me and I don't think I've ever had a classic pickle that wasn't crisp and crunchy. Wonder if it's a regional difference or something
