What's the Most Popular Tartan We Sell?

I wonder if a run on a certain tartan might be tied to clan gatherings? e.g :At the 2019 NH Highland Games the Buchanans were the honored clan and I think the new chieftain was there, so there were a *lot* of new-looking Buchanan kilts around.

Thanks for answering the question but sorry for the delay in replying. My assumption was based on association with the tartans that I see in the UK. The connection with the Royal Stewart is obvious because of the Royal Family and it is everywhere here too, I own two Harrington jackets both with RS linings. The Black Jocks because of it's masculinity, being a service Regiment tartan and these days there are so many Walts ( wannabe squaddies that would never make it). My own tartan, MacLaren I have only seen on racing drivers' helmets outside of the clan itself.

My kids are Duffy’s but my mom was McLaughlin and Hayes -so what kilt should my grandson wear? He is a 6 ft 4 curly dark haired guy He could wear anything and look great.

I don't remember seeing anything other than MacKenzie Tartan in the show. Jamie wears weathered Mackenzie all across the show. And Roger wears a Modern MacKenzie once

@@jobforanorn I've looked it up before and it said Jamie wore a weathered Fraser tartan. Google might have been wrong though.

@@stjtiger1 hum, well the two really lookalike to be honest. In the first seasons he surely wears a weathered Mackenzie. Because of the English and what he did, he must hide the fact he's a Fraser of Lovat and thats why he stays away from his home Lallybroch too.

Maybe USA Kilts could have a display board in the store, that shows the status of the most popular or most sold tartan for that month, then mention the winner on the next K&C KZbin video....?

I think to get a representative showing, you would have to average over AT LEAST a year. An order from a single pipe band can blow even an annual average completely out of whack.

@@dalekidd420 I understand a band or a group will throw off the total numbers, but you could just go with generic orders and just and just note how many were actually part of the band or group order. I guess they can easily tweak it to show what is popular or generically ordered.

How difficult would it be to get a piece of Hume modern tartan that is 4.5 feet x 4.5 feet for a headliner in my truck? It would need to be a heavyweight tartan to make sure the glue does not just come through the tartan.

@@USAKiltsOfficial Do you think a 16 ounce tartan will be heavyweight enough to keep the glue that they are going to spray on it from just going through it, or should I order a heavier weight, which I know will be a custom weave?
