What’s The Normandy Map Like In Spearhead 1944 Arma 3 DLC? Infantry, Tank & Plane Video Footage

In this quick video I take a brief look at the 150 km2 Normandy map that's included with the new "Spearhead 1944" Arma 2 WW2 World War 2 DLC.
We go for a walk on foot as infantry, in a tank, and fly over the map in a plane.
You'll note that this is a very flat map, but with an awful lot of trees and hedgerows to break up long sightlines.

@@blackfalco33 in my experience it didnt really help. I can run other maps and other dlc at well over 100 fps no problem but this map seems to be super laggy for me. Im not very technical so idk if its too many assets on the map or if there is some other way to fix it. I get between 40-60 fps on normandy kinda disappointing.

The content amount (about half of what SOG offers for the same price) and specially the performance is pretty lacking with this CDLC. The first issue is in the hands of the CDLC devs but the second issue is due to the fact that the base engine was not updated to support what the CDLCs are adding so it starts to stutter and lower FPSs even on pretty powerful PCs. It is sad because if Behemia Interactive wanted to continue to milk Arma 3 for revenue with the CDLC program they should at least continued to improve the base game (engine). Otherwise is just like adding a Ferrari F1 chassis to a Volkswagen Beatle engine, it will never reach its potential if you don't upgrade the whole vehicle

lol that volkswagen beetle engine has been going since 2001.... Its only reforger when they are trying to add a porsche engine, but unfortunately a volkswagen beetle chassis on that lol.

SOG was also somewhat barebones when it was first released. The reason it has much more content now is because it’s been out for 2 years. Directly comparing the 2 DLCs as they are right now isn’t really fair because Spearhead is brand new.
