Thanks so much Connie. I think the secret is scori g on both sides first at 1 inch intervals, then flipping and doing 1/2 inch intervals. I always struggled but I think your trick will be very helpful. 😊

I use jar lids to place the rosette in as you flatten it. It keeps it from popping out of the circle you form until you can apply the glue and let it set.

I found the perfect size empty can to use, bigger than a tunafish can. But before I could get the glue gun to drop the glue, the rosette popped right out of the can by itself!! I need three hands! I was able to hold it down to glue it to the circle and then put a paper weight on it while it dried. Practice!!

Very pretty. Thank you for bringing back the paper rosettes. I had forgotten about them. I could have used the idea awhile back. A friend of mine wanted easy award winning ribbons, but had none. The paper rosettes would have been a perfect substitution, with a little trailing paper (or ribbon) for the tails.

Uhm, Connie, is the hot glue absolutely essential? Can I just go to any diy store, or do I need to get me a crafters' glue gun? i LOVE those rosettes!

Any glue gun will do. Dollar tree if you don't use one that often. A mini glue gun from Wal mart, Michael's etc.

Try putting a puddle of glue on the stabilizer circle before you start the folding, let it get a little tacky then maybe it won't require so much hold time. I had no idea you were so far away. I watch a channel, Friesian horses. They are there I think. The horses are magnificent.
