Every time - the most thought-inspiring box of delights. A topic I always struggle with. Blending balance of composition - with the focal point (or vice versa).

The range within a frame within which you can place the focal point is limited. Recently it's been bothering me that I tend to compose subjects lower in the frame than I'd like in order to get the focus on them, particularly at events, and then I always end up cropping excess overhead height in post. Any thoughts on this? I know I can set focus on the eyes and then move the frame lower, but that's difficult during events, when there's movement and everything's happening so quickly. Please let me know if anyone has any thoughts.
