Hello Josh , it would be very nice if you could help me with my question. Just if you are able to and have some time. So i am looking forward to buying a pair of the new Predator Mutator 20+ but I havent got the opportunity to try them from a friend for example because nobody i know got them. I play most of the time on artificial grass and because I have problems with my knee I always bought boots with round studs to prevent another injury while turning my food on the ground. Maybe you have tried the boots on artificial grass either and I am wondering if you could tell me if it feels to grippy so that you can get injuried very easily in turning movements or if they are good to use on ag ground. To me this is the first adidas model that goes from the + to .1 that to me honestly looks like a take down model. The 20.1 looks so so much cheaper than the 20+ and that is very dissapointing.

As someone who has several pairs of the predator 19+, I just bought the lace less ones and I’m in love. If you like the 19+ you will absolutely feel the improvements from the previous generations. The amount of padding is a little decreased but they still fit and feel incredible

I used to wear a nemesis 17+ and the lockdown was good for me , does the pred 20+ have the same amount of lockdown or different compared to the nemeziz 17? If it has less then ile go for the 20.1 but wen a new colour way comes out couse rn the 20.1 looks like a cheap takedown

Tried the 20.1 the other day. I think Josh mentions that the mid foot is slightly tight which it kinda is. Reminds me of the powerswerves as I believe the fit was a bit like this. Ended up getting some Nike Premier 2s. 😎

I can't say that there's really anything that fits that description. Protection in general is hard to come by with modern football boots since they're all so thin. Something with a leather upper is typically going to provide better protection that most knitted/synthetic uppers.

How does the 20.1 compare to the nemeziz 19.1 in the toe box? I find the nemeziz has too much volume in the toe box for me and my toes move and slide around (like all the other adidas shoes). thanks

These are wider and a little more rounded in comparison to the Nemeziz. Sounds like it might be a sizing issue though. The toe box on the current Nemeziz is pretty slim, so there's no reason why you should have a ton of extra room. At least that isn't a common complaint.

Is the rubber in these new preds similar in material to the lethal zones of the Instincts?

It feels softer to the touch, but the elements are also very small and pointed, so naturally they're less structured than a "regular" rubber striking element would be. I would imagine that the actual rubber used is very similar, if not the same.

Great vid. The laced version is a joke considering its "high end". Looks so cheap. But as you say this isn't new from Adidas. They've missed a trick here. Nike do their high and low cut versions and both the same quality and look.

What are the expectations regarding the rubber/silicone fins to dry out? In my experience the rubber elements of the Predator LZ II and Predator Instinct dries our over time loosing their "stickyness".

The boots will likely need to be replaced well before any significant deterioration of the rubber occurs. Also the boots have been out for a week, so there's no way for anybody to accurately answer that question.
