I can testify the Mizuno Alpha Elite verion fit and comfortability is truly amazing and put the other speed boots from the big brands a run for their money. The upper is incredibly responsive and comfortable while being thin. Where the Mizuno Alpha shines is in the heel lock down and comfort design like Josh has mentioned. Really makes you feel confident in the boots while playing. Glad to see the Mizuno Alpha is in the list!

I enjoy them as well, but I learned that it's better to go a half size down to really get the best fit imo.

@@J26sportsyou’re right. I got a pair in my usual size 9 and had a little over if a thumbs space at the toe. I returned them and ordered a size 8.5, hopefully they fit a little better.

I would add that the Ultra 5 is heavily, and I mean heavily discounted. Can get it for 70% retail price. No brainer if you ask me, and in my opinion, the best speed boot overall, especially the MG version

The biggest issue with all the non-Mizuno boots - for me - on this list is their toebox volume. If you look at Mizunos, their toecap is higher so there is ample volume for the toes. With most other boots my big toes pop out of the upper unless i remove the insole to gain more volume. Even with that sometimes it's not enough.

Grabbed Mizuno Alpha elite last month on sale. It's one of the boots that I can wear without breaking in first, comfy straight out of the box. Definitely worth it. Alpha 2 is rumored to come out this month tho it is unclear if it is any different than the first gen, knowing how mizuno does things.

Like I said at the beginning of the video, the order of the boots doesn't mean anything. It's a top 10 list, where you should always be picking based on your own personal preferences in regards to fit and feel. Everybody likes something different, therefore there will never be any single boot that's "best" for everyone.

I wouldn’t say that there’s an advantage, it’s just comfortable. It gives the feel of a tradition stand alone tongue, but because it’s connected along the side rather than at the toe, it won’t move around while you’re playing

Not much you can do unfortunately. That’s something that also tends to be different for everyone, typically because of the shape of your feet. If it’s sliding over, the only thing you can really do is pull it back into place when you notice that it’s moved.

Hey josh, massive fan, I really wish you could do a top boots for Toe box areas. So many boots (not leather) are absolute toe destroyers! I use FT preds atm and both my big toes are battered 😂😢 I know morelia neo is perfect for bigger toe box due to the leather but the price is just crazy. What other boots would you recommend for comfort within the toe box area?

I really like Currex insoles if you're after a more robust, supportive option. Otherwise, I can't say that I've tried any other insoles recently. If you just want a direct replacement, whatever you can find that's super thin should work. There isn't really much to the vast majority of stock football boot insoles.

I lean towards the Icon 2 because I prefer the way they fit and feel. Less of a “speed” boot feel compared to the Neo. Both great, and obviously similar in a lot of ways, but still different, so it depends on what you like/want

They are already all conical. Morelia 2 is even more tame than some ag boots lol

@ conical is certainly important. As an old guy in a beer league played on relatively firm, dated turf, conical studs are the only pattern for me. AG configs have shorter stud length, most notably the heel studs, compared to FG. I believe Mizuno sells the synthetic version of the boots in an AG pattern but not in leather. Maybe someday!

Despite the no leather thing, they’re solid boots, just not top 10 IMO. For that style of boot, I think the several leather options I listed are a better choice, and if you really want a synthetic upper, I think the Sokito Scudetta is the better option, while also being less expensive. It’s all about personal preference though
