I was adopted as a baby, in 1979 I met my biological mother and brother at my adoptive grandpa’s funeral. (It was want he wanted) At the age of 33 yoa, I found out from my biological sister that my bio father was my grandpa. ( my bio mom was raped by her own father) I am currently 56 and I keep in touch with my youngest bio brother and sister… I am happy that I had a relationship with my biological mother and siblings (bio mom passed this yr at the age of 74 and my bio brother passed 2 yrs ago)

With the whole Santa gifting, I would choose the less expensive one on her list and say that was from Santa - mind you only 1 gift from Santa. And whatever else is on her list, expensive/ or not, came from Mom and Dad because I want to teach my daughter the value of a $1 - that we worked hard for whatever she receives from us. 😊

To keep my kids from asking for things from Santa that I couldn’t afford (single mom no child support) I told them I had to help Santa pay for the gifts. That way they asked for more realistic gifts and they weren’t disappointed they didn’t get the super expensive gifts and it didn’t make me feel like a complete failure every year. And I saved as much as I could so I could get them more expensive gifts but they didn’t ask for the game consoles until I remarried and could afford it.

Had to skip the part about Santa. But I did get the part asking how many… Ours is apparently different than most. Santa’s Presents ARE NOT wrapped. He fills the stockings and usually it’s one BIG gift or each Kid set up in a cool way and then a couple small ones. All of the wrapped presents are from Mom and Dad and Family and Friends. My Girls are ALWAYS so excited to go down the stairs to see what Santa left by the tree. And it was the same for me when I was a kid. I knew in the morning I was going to see something amazing. Lol
