Love it when Bob and Paul talk about their parents, with both love and respect. Neither are afraid to be open about their feelings. And of course they are just so natually funny, which makes them a joy to watch.❤❤

This is beautiful and inspired me to write a little story for the social workers I work with. I'm a therapist and loved this metaphor so forgive me Bob and Paul, I borrowed it, whilst still paying tribute to you both and your wonderful programme. The story I wrote was indeed "What's your tomato?" and what gives you the reason to keep going (particularly through the pandemic and working in children's services). The replies I got were absolutely heart warming and probably enough to write a little feel good hand book. Everyone loved thinking about their own story whilst holding in mind some of the difficult circumstances some families and children we work with, that may not have a "tomato" in any way, shape or form. For me, Bob, Paul and this wonderful programme, which allows me time out and escapism from my world - is a tomato in itself. Thank you and warmest wishes to you both x

I love your programme Gone Fishing. Especially the beautiful scenery and the comaradery between Paul and Bob.Having been born in Port Clarence I feel a connection with Bob particularly, although I am from a much earlier generation. The banter between the two of them and their humour really appeals to me much more than today’s stand up comedians who I don’t find funny at all.

@@kingy002Conversation...that's really interesting. A nice conversation is undervalued. I think this is why Bob and Paul are so popular; they talk about nonsense sometimes, other times it's about things that we all share...childhood, parents etc. And here we are, through a shared pleasure and the wonders of the internet, having a nice conversation about our dogs. I'm sorry to hear about you dog;.losing them is a horrible thing. I grew up around dogs, but as an adult refused to get one for many years. I said it was because we worked a lot, but in truth I was probably just avoiding that heartache that is inevitable. However my daft little pooch has reminded me that going for a walk or messing around in the woods is just the best way to relax, and should be enjoyed while you have the chance. I don't know whether he thinks he's human, or I'm starting to think like a dog! Haven't started sniffing lamposts yet though....

I've just finished Bob's autobiography 'And Away'. On page 298, it says that Sunset Strip was "under teen feet of floodwater". I can't work out whether the proofreader was distracted by a particularly self-satisfied chaffinch on the windowsill, or if Bob wasn't sure of the exact level of Sunset Strip's submersion, but knew that it was more than 12 feet, and less than 20.

@catwoman8861
@catwoman8861 8 ай бұрын
Wtf are you talking about? It’s far from the only thing he talks about but the whole genesis of this show was due to Paul getting Bob outside following his fears after surgery. The whole point of the show is for them to talk about their health issues and ongoing mental wellness implications of major surgery and staying well. It’s very generous of him to share so much of himself as this is will be so valuable to people watching who have gone through the same. At no point has be intimated that he’s the only person who has had this experience. But he has a platform and he’s using it kindly, wisely and sensitively. What an ass you are.
