Remember to check your regs people. Some places have a maximum/minimum distance between sinker and hook. E.g., Oregon's salmon/steelhead bobber rule which limits leader length between sinker and hook to less than 36inches.

Twitching or jigging like you was doing, in Michigan it will get you a healthy fine the DNR will say your snagging and now they are trying to say they don’t want you to feather the beds next they’ll stop you from holding your rod.

Same in NYS No jigs over 1/8 oz and they probably will claim snagging if you twitch.

Great video! Question about the float setup - would using just a fluorocarbon line instead of braid with a fluorocarbon bumper not make it stronger (one less knot to worry about)? Or do the benefits of the floating braid outweigh the cons of tying a bumper to it? Just curious as I've never tried braid with float fishing.

Are you fishing mainly weedless rivers or something? Every time I let my spinner (or anything, for that matter) hit the bottom before reeling, it comes back full of weeds haha. I al ways try to keep it right above the weeds because I'm assuming that's best, but I don’t know I haven't had any luck on my local river. I are up fishing lakes pretty successfully, all over the country. So it's getting VERY frustrating not being able to pull fish out of the river in my own home city

1 other thing forgot to mention not sure if you know or tried but i do way better for salmon and steelhead using a float in avout 3-6' deep at walking speed its best once past boat let it swing below boat as soon as straight behind you and stops swinging thats when they smash it. It we fish them the way you are here big trouble they cobsider that snagging because of the asshole snaggers its tougher every year.
