In 6th grade, a girl said I was cute and asked me if I was single. Of course, I was emotionally immature and didn't know how to process someone liking me, so I rudely laughed in her face. Wish I could apologize for being an asshole.

You probably still can, you can’t change what happened but you can still say you’re sorry for how you acted!

I didnt get rejected, I rejected them. This was like really mean. So this one girl she had a glow up that anyone could notice. She casually walks up to me and goes "Heyyy wanna go out to the park later" I heard her completely but acted like I didnt and walked away. We are still dating in highschool and our friend who witnessed it always brings it up whenever we plan to go somewhere

A few months ago, I kinda panicked and thought I only had one opportunity left to ask a girl out (school trip to Guatemala was ending). When I was done beating around the bush and regretting even being, she stood there trying to grab her friends’ attentions.

The asking to dance and getting "No thanks, I've only had one drink" could potentially be that they don't DANCE until they're buzzed and less self conscious?

It isn't as big as some things on here...but back in homeroom in highschool, I asked this girl out I thought was pretty nice, and I thought got along well with me. She laughed in my face in front of everyone. All I could do was laugh along. I never built up the courage to ask a girl out since.

Rural area. I invited her to the movies, we set a time, and kept talking about looking forward to the movie. As I arrived at the snow-covered cinema, we were still texting about how good this is going to be, before she ghosted me. I was a two hour walk from home (had taken the bus there) in -10°. She laughed when I showed up to school all heartbroken.

During my first semester in college, I met a woman who would smile at me whenever she saw me in the hallway waiting for morning classes to start. We exchanged numbers and texted frequently. I asked her on a date, then afterward I asked if she wanted to go on a date on Valentines Day and she accepted. I got a box of chocolates to give to her that day. But when I texted her our plans for Valentines Day, she responded that she didn't want to go on a date and that we should stay friends because she needed to talk to her roommates regarding issues she's been having between her and them. I was disappointed that she changed her mind and I ended up eating the box of chocolates.

I think the 2nd last one was the best rejection of the whole lot, the guy rejected the girl not because, of any qualities, he was just gay, and he even said yes, to a date, (probs as friends) and let her know he was gay in the nicest way possible

2 stories; 1. Mutual friends during P.E. class asked me if I was interested in dating one of my female friends, I said no, and about a couple of weeks later she was now lesbian dating another classmate, (probably not because of me, but the timing was a little to close). 2. I was dealing with a breakup pretty badly and asked a mutual female friend to hang out together, (she used to like me), anyway, she then decided to also invite her brother and other friends along, and while we were hanging out, I started relaxing and enjoy chatting with the guys there and we made a little harmless joke, well, she didn't like the joke and told me that no one would ever date me, (it was a lot more insulting than I'm saying here), well, any feelings I might have had for her ended instantly, here I am Heartbroken, borderline suicidal and because of a little joke, she says I'm undateable. I think the joke may have been a fart joke and I wasn't even the one that said it.

Asked a girl out. She said yes, we confirmed it. I go to her house to pick her up, she said "O you didn't get the text I cancelled?" There was no text or email or anything.

I rejected my best friend at the time by laughing at him. I felt so bad and immediately apologized. I was largely only laughing because I didn't know how else to respond. I didn't want a boyfriend and he knew that. Even if I did, we had incompatible visions for our futures, and he knew that too. I'm pretty sure he asked anyway because he felt obligated to as a guy who was close to a girl.
@theoink6368 ай бұрын
I don't think it was obligation, coming from a guy, sometimes we're fools, and hope for the impossible.

One time on a bus in middle school a kid a year or two younger than me asked me out I told him "I don't date and I didn't really know him or even know his name anyway" he said his name is Jose and I trying to make small talk responded that I've never met someone named Jose I didn't think it was a real name( side note I'm a from a Mexican family I've met everything from a Pablo to a Jesus but I had never met a Jose I thought it was a fake name like Barbie or John Smith only made up for fictional characters) and laughed because I realized that was really dumb of me to think then my bus stop came up so I got off ANYWAY he reported me to the principal for "bullying" him that was the first and only time I talked to him I was just so bewildered by that interaction
