Clever idea with cutting out the areas for the recesses in driveways and curbs. I'm stealing that!

Hey Dave! Great to see a video from you again!! Regarding the N scale layout, I would suggest MDF instead of plywood as it should not warp and is very smooth. Regardless of what you decide I know it will be great! Sorry about the water damage but the stains do look very realistic! Looking forward to more updates! - Brian

Hey Bud!! My apologies for the delayed response!! I've been a little under the weather myself lately!! OMG, thank you for the birthday wishes, and we all wanna thank you for the shout-out!! You're indeed an awesome friend!! There's no need to apologize for anything as we all experience technical difficulties from time to time, so no worries!! I love how the Chicago layout is turning out, and the Rivoli looks great so far!! BTW, I sent you an email right before my birthday, and I'll be sending you another one before the week is out!! Take care, feel better, and keep up the excellent work!!! 🙂🙂🙂

Hey man great to hear from you. I'm not sure if your subbed to my new channel here or not. I finally started my layout. I'm going to be using foam for my roads too. I really like the idea of cutting out some foam to have the curbside slope down. Where do you get your vehicles? I'm looking for 80/90s vehicles. I love that old dodge truck you have. Man it's a shame about the layouts getting wet. I remember yrs ago watching you scratch build that huge building and designing the layout. Always love your work. Sorry to hear about your health man. Hope things are getting better for you. That really sucks about YT and Google. Don't be to hard on yourself man. I'm sure people will understand. Hope to see more videos from you in the near future. Keep your head up brother!!! Later, Johnny Railer aka modelrailer

Hi John, good to hear from you brother. I am subbed to you, thank you. I've collected up most of those vehicles over the last 25 years, but most of the cool ones over the last 2 years. There's an Ebay seller with unique vehicles at decent prices, I'll find him for you and post it soon. The old Milwaukee Road layout (the wet one) does not get much attention now of days, due to other interest's, but I will fix it in a few months. I have a new loco for that layout on pre-order that'll maybe be arriving in September. It's all good man, yeah Google is **** lol. There will be more video's soon, take care buddy. Dave B.

I feel your pain. I amin the same boat with my eye sight and diabetes. I have been modelling in N-scale for teh past 20 years but can see me switching to HO-scale down the road. As long as you keep modelling, it's okay. Cheers and stay safe.

I'm sorry to hear that buddy, Yeah my nerve pain in my legs and feet is really bad as well. I'll do what I can to keep on going. Hopefully with some glasses I can do a little more in N scale, but right now it doesn't look good. Thank you Maurice, take care friend. Dave B.

Hey thanks for the mention. So those UP GP60s were N scale? It was hard to tell. I have a few Walthers Proto GP60s which are awesome, I actually just got a BNSF one too for something I am planning for the future...maybe in Vernon, CA as well. I also liked that recess trick for the curbs, those areas are hard to model.

Hi buddy, no problem. You are an awesome modeler with very cool ideas. Yes, those were N scale, I have 6 N scale gp60's and 11 HO scale GP60's and love them all lol. Oooo a BNSF gp60 in Vernon, maybe the Malabar job? ;) Thanks for the nice words, yeah that color foam is so easy to work with, it does have it's faults but it's much cleaner to do large areas without the mess of spackle or smoothit. Take care, Dave B.
