I saw this as a kid with my family in 1972. We were on vacation in Ocean City, New Jersey. It really set a high bar for movies at a young age for me.

Peter Bogdanovich said they never told him the alternate take of him in Barbra’s place on the piano would be used in the trailer so when he saw it he almost fainted.

This who was the favorite and my group of friends growing up in my youth. When we became adults and one person introduced us to to a boyfriend/girlfriend, you know if we accepted them or not if we organized a what's up doc watch party and invited them. One girlfriend pouted and complained that the movie was stupid. We didn't really care for her to begin with, but her reaction to what's up doc pretty much cemented our dislike of her. Our friend married her anyway. And they divorced a couple years later.
