It's expensive but there is a lot of value there and there is no competition in the smartscope market with this level of optics.

Haven't been able to do a single useful thing with mine yet - it just won't stay connected via the Wifi. I'm going back and forth with Celestron support on the issue. It looks as though it could be a great product, but I think potential buyers need to be aware that its connection technology is... well 'fussy and extremely temperamental' is about the politest way I can put it at this point. And, of course, without a reliable connection, it's just a very expensive doorstop. I'm using Android 14 BTW. I think if you're an Apple devotee, you might be ok (there's a lot more diversity of devices with Android).

@@SkyWatcherUSA I eventually bought an iPad and got the Origin to work with that, with the help of Celestron support. They sent me an empty file titled 'OriginResetSettings.txt'. Putting that on a thumb drive, plugging that into the scope, and then turning on reset the settings of the scope to factory defaults, and then I was able to connect from the app on the iPad.
