Even though this cartoon didn't have Tails, it did however introduce Knuckles with a loose adaptation of Sonic 3. Also this cartoon was cancelled Mid-Broadcast so they never did find their mum. And they never cared who their Father was either.

I'm surprised you failed to mention the fact that the series was never finished so it never had a proper ending. Also, as someone who grew up watching this in the mid 2000's through the magic of repeats, I actually thought this was pretty cool. I was raised on rock music and this was my first introduction to sonic the hedgehog (other than maybe sonic 3D flickies island/sonic 3D blast on PC) so at the time this seemed great and my friend also watched it and liked it so we made our own 'roleplays' I guess? based on this show. Fun times. Looking back on it, it definitely still has its merits but the songs were mostly terrible which I actually thought at the time for many of them, Bartlbee will never not be a stupid name and the fact there was no ending was really annoying.

STORY TIME i think i was about 7 when my town was flooded. We where all transported to the high school. i remember staying in the library with al the other kids watching this show. Years later i had this idea for a comic about a angsty teen garage band that were turned into Vampires that have instruments that turn in to weapons with a monster of the week premise. it was more of a mixer of sonic underground and Danny Phantom really.

Sonic Underground was one of the two things that greeted me as a child to the world of Sonic, the other being Sonic 06, and it's a big part of my childhood. It may not be what I call a good cartoon (Like Scooby Doo, Powerpuff Girls, etc.), but it's not what I call a bad cartoon (Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog). It does have its downsides, but it's better to look at the good stuff than looking at the bad stuff. It's one of those cartoons I can look back to and say "It's still good to me!". Edit: So, since I've made this comment, I would like to say this: There might be a reason that I never watched Sonic Underground again in a while. Also, I've actually gave AOSTH a second chance, and I've warmed up to it. It's fine. Not a fantastic show, just fine.

wait i thought sonic underground was cancelled tho after some research from google this is what i found Due to the show's cancellation, the storyline of Sonic Underground remained unresolved. ... However, the issue instead featured a plotline starring Metal Sonic, while epilogue got cancelled. According to Ian Flynn, the epilogue is still planned, but the story has not yet been finalized. after 10mins later i found out that issue 50 of sonic universe will continue sonic underground this is not correct so fuck i wish sonic underground was not cancelled

I just recently watched some episodes of it and found the show to be quite......interesting. It has a plot that's quite different to other Sonic shows and features basically his origins, plus Manic and Sonia were interesting characters mainly because they were Sonic's Siblings

Sonic Underground was the first Sonic show that I saw as a kid. I clicked on it, thinking it was a new lets play of some kind (i was like 7, okay?) and i really liked it. I was never really in the fandom, but the goofiness of it was my favorite part of coming home from school, so I could find the next episode. As much as I like Sonic Underground after seeing the first episode, and as much as I liked Sonic SatAM, I'm not sure they quite fit together as one canon without some changes to either story. One of the most noticeable contradictions has to do with the beginning of Robotnik's rulership, which was displayed in the time travel episode of Sonic SatAM, and the first episode of Sonic Underground. In Underground, Uncle Chuck is robotisized _long_ after Robotnik takes over, when Sonic is grown up. However, in SatAM, Uncle Chuck is robotisized only hours after Robotnik takes over. I haven't read a lot of the Sonic Comics, so I wouldn't know how they contradict either show...

I respect your opinion, but I loved. both Underground and SATAM. I mean, sure some of the songs in Underground were corny, but at least in my opinion they were catchy and well sung. The plot itself was brilliant, I loved that Sonic got siblings and was secretly (or not) royalty. The dark tone fit well with both shows, and both had moments of humor to break up that "edgyness". Overall I think both shows were and are great adaptions of the Sonic universe.

Yes, the adjective "cheesy" is truly applicable to this show, and with the possible exception of the theme, there wasn't a single song that WASN'T cringe territory, but it had a few diverting episodes, and they did dare to introduce Knuckles--that's a couple pluses you could give it.

Robotnik and reunited with their mother Queen Aleena I wish in 2019 Sega create a new Sonic cartoon series and put his brother and sister Manic and Sonia in it plus put them in the new Sonic video games I want to see all three Hedgehog siblings in they're super forms from the power of the 7 Chaos Emeralds

I still wished that they haven't left Sonic Undergrond as a cliffhanger at the end of that series because we never got to see Sonic, Sonia and Manic reunited with their mother Queen Aleena as well as the prophecy fulfilled of defeating Robotnik once and for all.

When I was little I had a DVD with the baby robot sonic and the Pyramid/Scroll episode. A christmas episode special of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and a SaT AM episode.

Sonic Underground is by far the most mixed bag Sonic show there is IMHO. It has some things I really like. Some I don't care for, and some I just downright hate. For example, while not everyone likes Sonic's siblings. I actually thought they were a nice addition. Now that doesn't mean I like them the way they were portrayed. Their characterizations in this show were very poor at times. That and being royalty? Yea... a big no-no. I did also like how it expanded upon some of Satam's sci-fi world as well. Some devices and machines were pretty cool looking too. Heck, even Knuckles wasn't too bad either. But yea, the bad outweighs the good. Robotnik is not nearly as intimidating. His henchmen are reduced to two bounty hunters. Seriously, could he not find better help than them? I mean, Sleet was decent, but not good enough to be Robotnik's right hand man. That goes triple for Dingo. Ugh, I could not stand that character. He was even worse than Dulcy. The songs were mostly nonsensical and pointless, if not ear grating, but by far the worst thing about this show was how it utterly pointless the conflict of the plot was. Some wizard dude predicts Sonic along with his siblings and mother will take down Robotnik. Well, why am I watching this then? If it's set in stone Robotnik is going to lose, why should I get invested? And the whole find their mother plot was just completely aggravating. She could have been reunited with them by Episode 10 if she quit being such a tease about the, "It's not time to reveal myself." BS. I get why at first she didn't try to reunite with them. She was worried for their safety and worried they would get eaten alive by Robotnik's forces due to their age and inexperience, but after they get their training and can now take care of themselves, there's no reason to keep this charade up. Just reunite with your kids already, woman! Stop toying with their emotions and begin the journey with them to take down Robotnik. I have to say, I think this show is worse than the Japanese dub of Sonic X. Yea, Sonic X as a whole had alot of problems, some even worse than Sonic Underground's but AT LEAST it had good voice actors, real emotional moments and a kickass soundtrack. THIS show on the other hand couldn't write an epic song if it's life depended on it. Not to mention it was so boring at times.

Also, let's not forget the biggest glaring issue with this whole series: The Oracle himself. The Oracle told Robotnik how he would fall. Well, why are we watching then if we know what's going to happen? That;'s like Yoda telling Luke Skywalker how Darth Vader and the Empire would fall during their training. Also, the Oracle can literally freeze Robotnik in place. Plus, I don't think he can be killed by him either. So, my question is..., WHY DOESN;T HE JUST TAKE ROBOTNIK OUT HIMSELF!? Seriously, the more I think about this,, the more I realize just how stupid this show's plot was. I swear it like the Oracle and Queen Aleena were bored one day and said to each other, "Hey, you know what would be fun? Letting Robotnik take over and seeing how the kids react to it while we watch from the sidelines. It's not like they'll be in any danger or anything since we can intervene at any time. Plus, we can troll them a little bit to test their courage and toughness. It'll be an interesting adventure for us all." It may not have happened exactly that way, but I don't know what else to think. Robotnik should not have been able to take over in this universe. The Oracle could have easily stopped him in his tracks if he wanted, but obviously, he didn't because he rather make a game out of it all with Sonic and his siblings playing hero.

Ohhhhh boi i remember watching sonic underground as a kid. it was actually the first sonic related thing i ever saw and damn i loved it as a kid mostly the opening, i watched it in spanish tho and thank god because i dont remember sonia's voice being half as bad in spanish
