Ishod is such a legend he makes other legends rethink their board setups.

Literally, always. Add to that, the occasional knowledge nugget that has hit me on an epiphany level, shiiiiiiit. For instance, I’m sure Crob and I aren’t the only ones who were put on to the idea of a symmetrical board by Ishod. It took all of one session to get used to it-1000% total game changer. Another incredibly useful piece of setup wisdom helped me salvage an old, squeaky ass set of Grind Kings by putting crushed graphite in the the pivot cup, shoutout to Chris Cole for that. I use them on my cruiser now, and it’s stayed filming level stealthy ever since. When you get to be an old and washed mofo like me, any tidbit of insight that actually works is priceless.

Every truck company measures their trucks differently. I just switched today from Indy to Thunder, on the exact same deck my Indy’s were 144 and my new Thunders are 148.
@robertblackmore7032 жыл бұрын
They don’t buy anything. It’s not like they sit down and order trucks or go to a shop and have to pick them out. They get boxes from reps.

It definitely _is_ crazy how much it matters if a board is 8.25" or 8" or 7.75". In terms of just skating around, it barely matters for the most part. But by the time you're doing tricks, it's a world a difference. But I do think people underestimate the difference in wheelbase that goes along with it. I can get a board to double flip just fine in size 8.5" (not flicking down), it's mostly just making sure you've got the correct foot position. Adjusting to that foot position though and the change in timing... very difficult. So far I've only managed flip tricks on my smallest boards, not the 8.25" or 8.5".
@mickeyfinn4636 Жыл бұрын
I hear that i was the same way when i was younger but it seems as ive gotten older and a bit stronger i now skate an 8.5 and have no trouble with any of my flip tricks. Maybe have to give it a little more energy but you get used to it

I started riding 7.25 (10 yrs) bc my friend rode skinny almost boards I went to 7.75 (around 13 hrs) One day I stood on the shop owners 8.5 Real and have been riding that size since only issue is my tre flips are so inconsistent at that width but everything else is butter oh also I've never gripped my own board at this point don't think I will lol it's weird af though I know it's like asking a guy to put your condom on for you. Oh well fuck it
