Does he have to be adopted within his home state? I would hate to think he would miss the opportunity to be adopted into a loving home for this reason.

@@bahoonies I put in inquiries to adopt three different children months ago and have never received a call back or reply to my emails. They obviously aren’t trying hard enough to get these kids adopted if they can’t even get in touch with those interested. Such a shame,

@user-jy6vp1zm9m When you consider how many children are in care and in need of loving homes, I think the lack of replies to you is disgraceful. I hope you won't give up and that a lucky child becomes yours. I would love to give a boy a loving home, especially an older child, as they seem to get overlooked. Sadly, at 71 years old I would never be considered as an adoptive parent. Best wishes to you.

@@bahooniesthank you for the kind words. I am in the process of getting my foster care license now so I am approved to adopt through foster care. I reacted out to five agencies and only heard back from one. I am 45 a homeowner with zero debt. I could provide a stable home.
