I lived in cleveleys many years ago now. B+M's was just an old looking storage unit building with asbestos roof.Not far away from current premises. Goods were real cheap (mostly out of date products).Apparently this is where it all started, now is trading all over.

Thank you for this vlog Jane, returning us to the warmer, sunnier days of Summer. My guess is that Cleveleys is vibrant whatever the season and I would think that many people resident in Poulton and other places like Layton and Kirkam come to shop and enjoy a day out here whatever the time of year. One valuable clip for Kris and myself was of the bus so that we know what service will take us to Cleveleys from Blackpool should we need that. Looking forward to tomorrow's Brew at Two! :-)

Every time we go to Blackpool about 3times are year and we always take a trip up to cleveleys a really nice town

Looks a nice day .People just in there shirt sleeves..Lovely blue sky in halifax but don't think it's warm enough for no jacket. Looks a lovely place cleverly s I can't remember ever going there but maybe when I was a child. I only seem to get to Blackpool as the train is direct from halifax ..

Very nice look around Cleveleys. Would have been nice to have mentioned the Royal British Legion as well, as you were stood directly across from it. As it will soon be poppy time again it would have been a good advert for them.

I lived in Bispham Road cleveleys opposite the car showroom, great place to live but cheeky people used to park on my drive, soon stopped that by blocking them in for the full day.

I think B&M started as a small part of Bispham market near where Alpic used to be.

Victoria Rd West has to be a contender for best (non High) Street/Road in the UK. 2 cracking traditional butchers, which is a rarity on any High St nowadays. Couple of fantastic bakers, love the home made pork pies, always bring a bag load home with me. Candlestick makers? Probably is because there's everything you ever need on that one little road.Always have a coffee with scone and jam at Cleveleys Kitchen.

Yes - only pensioners who pay their council tax to Blackpool Council or Wyre Council get free tram travel.
