Sometimes the situation gets very very funny on road - 1. A bigger & pricier Skoda Kodiaq / Endeavour / Fortuner owner races with my 200bhp XUV 700 to tell me that they are the boss on the road, 2. Exact opposite also happens when an Alto / Swift / Grand i10 etc starts racing with me to prove that they are no less than me or my car, 3. The best is when same car with same power-torque starts racing to prove that they are better drivers perhaps, and 4. Himachal and UK taxi drivers are on another level of hatred towards another state number plates 😂, uphill or downhill, they would honk the hell out untill you give them pass! Its a combination of factors, the car is really quick and enjoyable to drive for its segment, has great blinding lights and horn to compliment it. Same is with ola scooter owners, they just flash or zoom out from no-where. Earlier this was behaviour was common on innova drivers now they have died down and become humble. I have noticed that tiago ev , yes very specific. Drives very eagerly and silently. I had a few close calls with this car owners , on the other hand nexon or nexon ev owners drive very reasonably and carefully.

Also in general in India, for some reason people think it is okay to drive slow on the roads, especially on bridges and highways by old and multiple people in the car and others. Like if you are going to go slow go on the normal road and not on roads that were made for higher speeds. That High beam LED projector lamp is a real menace. Cant even have a pleasant walk on road any more. I wear anti glare gasses now going outside. I don't know if its just me, but I cant tolerate that light. even scooters have it now.

I don't think owning a car from a specific brand is a problem. But since nowadays everything (even iphones) are easily available on EMI's , its much easier for anyone to own a good car. Creta, Seltos, Thar, Scorpio (cars within 10-15L) range are now more accessible to people who rarely care about traffic sense. All of these inspite of having their own good features in their own way are now being labelled bad or are being made fun of, but the fact is the person driving these cards are to be blamed (if they are creating problems for others). I hope people understand that buying a SUV does not gives them license to trouble other people on road, but due to such people the good ones are also being made fun of. Like nowadays people make fun of Wagon R, Swift Desire etc owners since these cards are being used for cab services too. Bhai jo banda apni mehnat se alto bhi buy kare, uska mazak na udao. There can always be bad / careless drivers, but one should not make fun of each and every brand's cars as apke liye toh mazak bannana asan hai, kisi ke liye 10 saal ki mehnat bhi ek choti si car ho sakti.

Back in history when creta was launched very few could buy it that time and those were rich people or altleast upper middle class who had high socio economic status. In recent years many got inspired and wanted to feel powerful like those so they tend to buy creta. If you see there are not many cars today which are in creta price range which werr also there 9-10 years back. Similar is case with scorpio.

There was an incident that happened with me a few years ago me two lanes wali road par tha jo Highway he ak, waha par turn se me high beam par ja raha tha to samne se kuch gaadiya aa rahi thi jo deeper di mujhe to mene low beam kar liya ab hua ye ki samne se aane wali 3 gaadiyon mese middle wali ne high beam hi rakha , Pehli gaadi usme truck thi uska low beam tha ab hua ye ki ak bike wala bich lane me bike khadi karke phone pe baat kar raha tha (drunk maybe) ab me turn se aa raha tha isliye high beam wali light uspe padhi nahi mene middle wali gaadi ki wajha se high beam jaise hi wapas on ki meko wo bike wala dikha mene hard break mara aur apni gaadi truck ki side thodi leli... bhala ho wo truck wale ka usne aadhi road ke niche uski gaadi utar di aur me bike wale ko bacha liya aur meri family bhi bach gayi truck se. aur wo bike wala end time tak dikh bhi nahi raha tha wo bich wali gaadi ki high beam se.. tabse mene low beam dena chhor diya jab tak samne wala nahi karta low beam.. apni side me gaadi leke slow kar leta hu aur mene dekha he 70% log nahi karte low beam...

I don't drive on a regular basis, but when I do, I drive for at least 250 km in a single stretch. I can say that the Creta/Seltos drivers are the most toxic kind of drivers I've ever encountered. I think this car has some sort of an Aura that makes its driver too toxic. I can share some incidents too. At nighttime on a 6 lane highway, all 3 lanes were blocked by slow moving trucks. The middle truck was the slowest. The other 2 were trying to overtake and I was seeing a Creta continuously honking at the truck which was struggling to overtake the other trucks, AT NIGHT. Till the truck ahead of the Creta gave him the way, I already overtook the trucks from the other side. Then, he was flashing lights at me asking for a side, at 100 kmph. I gave him the side, he overtook me and dropped his speed to 80-85. I got frustrated because of 2 things. 1) The thing he did to the truckers and 2) It was a Creta. So as soon as I got space, I passed him at 120 and it's the end of the story.

Absolutely true . Today I had a similar experience . I was travelling in my car . It was single lane and 1 way . At a point , the car ahead of me turned on right indicators and turned right for uturn . I turned on left indicator and steered left slowly . A creta guy turned on lights flashed , honked me continuously and overtook me through left when my car was staying diagonally towards left . Thank God I saw him on my mirror dash cam and slammed on brakes at right time . My mom was terrified. People walking on footpath had their palm on their head . A bike guy came near me and said it was a just miss for me as well as him as that crete guy was doing zig zag for a while and overtook the biker few seconds ago and he almost escaped a crash . You are 100% right . The affordability of base variants of models like Creta and Indian's craze for SUV is creating a lot of idiots on road who owns car even on loans but most of them lacks common sense and road manners and has zero knowledge of rules.

In my experience, Creta and Swift owners are pretty reckless. The former is bought by rich gawar chapris with no driving knowledge, the latter by poor chapris with no driving knowledge. Thar and Scorpio have long been in that category already. But surprisingly, not as many incidents in the last few years.

I'm honda fanboi Last week, I was driving Activa 125 on busy area, I gave dipper to a creta owner and he gave me the side because the situation was getting worse and there would be a heavy jam, if he didn't gave me the side. Later on the same road after 2-3 kms, I see the same driver aligning his creta on my back side, honking and continuous dipper bombing even when the road was empty, i gave him the side and again he aligned his creta on other side basically he wanted to prove that, how did i even dare to dipper a creta and take a side. Later i simply stopped and he went away

In my personal experience 80% drivers in Delhi NCR use high beams at night. Out of these 80% people I've found that 100% of Creta drivers use high beams, honk relentlessly (any time of the entire day) & also flash the head beams relentlessly. Very poor driving sense indeed.
