Have you at all examined WHY women are saying these things? I recommend The Public Offender.
@cleotasberkley90488 күн бұрын
@dandelion_fritters Yes, i suppose I HAVE examined the reasons. They call me a creep because I'm fat and ugly. Were I fit and handsome the same actions would not be "creepy". They don't like it when I look at pictures of women because the sort of woman who is rude enough to call me "creepy" tends to be a self-centered narcissist who can only view the world in terms of what pleases her, and the thought that someone ugly is deriving any pleasure from gazing at any woman who is NOT her is also irritating for her ego. When men disengage from the dating market altogether they are called all manner of derogatory names, the popular one this season appears to be "incel". These men were rejected by society and have various reactions to that rejection, the most common one being an unwillingness to participate in a system they deem to be rigged against them. The response from the public is further alienation, villification, mockery, and dismissal of any concerns or pleas for understanding. It's hardly any wonder some miniscule fraction of them turn out to be the monsters everyone paints them as. I mean really, men not dedicating their entire lives to the pursuit of female approval? How barbaric. And when I say "Women most affected" i do mean every single event, issue, historical fact, and statistical report can be twisted or flipped upside down such that women are the ultimate victims, whatever the case may be. Take, for instance, the time every major news outlet ran with the story that women were almost 25% of the homeless population, and this proves we're not doing enough to help women. Yes, I've thought about the reasons why.

7:00 I love how they comment on how the woman's bodies look comical. Like, have you SEEN The Punisher in this game? He has muscles that literally don't exist. I can go on Instagram and find dozens, if not hundreds of women that look like Sue Storm in Rivals or women that are more petite like Penny Parker. There isn't a single man that has the shape of The Punisher. But do you hear men bitch about him? Nope. We just think he's badass looking. I saw a video awhile ago about how young girls and boys play with action figures differently. The girls, tend to project themselves into the figure. Doing things and acting like they, themselves would act. While boys tend to role play as the character. Making decisions that they believe the character would make versus themselves. This is why some women harp on how a character looks, because they physically can't project their 400lb frame into that of a 125lb woman. Where as men just dream of being the 250lb mass of muscle.
@WynneL12 күн бұрын
I don't like the Punisher's look at all to be frank. And of course men don't bitch about him--his design is *for men* not for women. It's not a nonsensical argument, any person with children or living with kids can see what he said is true, boys like roleplaying and girls like to project, it doesn't mean that all the girls do that, but generally that's what they do, it doesn't mean girls don't have imagination, that's something completely diferent. The part about ugly woman not being able to put themselves in the shoes of that character is true, but again, not all girls, some unatractive girls also like to play as an atractive character because they also would want to look like that, just like most men.

Another thing that plays a role is that women are rarely perceived as a direct/potential threat, so people don't tend to feel themselves in danger if one pushes a tad too hard. In turn, the reaction to it tends to be a lot milder than if you're 1,5m and a 2 meter mountain of muscles pins you against a wall. Gives women fewer nasty experiences in reaction to being pushy and therefore fewer opportunities to "learn from mistakes made". And not everyone starts out with high degree of self awareness

1:13 EXACTLY!!! Devout Christian here, and I love me some video games, been playing since the N64. Seen the news outlets and mass media run video games through the gauntlet and ascribe A-Z when it comes to nefarious, moralistic attributes to video games (pokemon, GTA, Bioware games, COD, etc). So it is so hilarious to me that, nowadays, I barely hear a peep from my community concerning anything with video games or like media, because I think society has decided that it is a artistic medium just like any other, and if you don't want to partake for one reason or another, YOU DON'T HAVE TO!!!! But now, You hear the loudest bleating coming from SOME of the anti-theology who you would think would be all for the proliferation of sexualality and sensuality in media. But no, all it's really been about denying others the right to express what they want because they feel bad about or lack control in their life circumstances and/or physicality. Like someone said in this comment section, when you look at these characters, male or female, a normal, sane person would at least say, "i can believe that is what a super hero looks like." I want me men to look like peak masculine and my women to look peak feminine. Shoot, my nigga Venom is probably technically naked under the symbiote, cheeks bare and everything, lol.

Also Otome Visual Novels Games means Maiden and it will always have a female protagonist with male love interest. The stories, characters, and themes can be fluffy or dark depending on the setting. Same thing with RPG games such as Final Fantasy with gorgeous characters for both men and women. Just like you said, both side should enjoy themselves with the games they enjoy and love. Also, the problem I've seen with the ugly character debate is this. I've seen men complain about games where the female characters aren't even ugly. They just look like normal people, and there are plenty of games that have decently attractive women they could play instead but they still choose too complain, and it comes from them thinking women should just be for their entertainment so god forbid game devs make a woman that isn't made up all sexy for them. The women that are complaining about the male gaze are just mad because they aren't something that attracts the male gaze. It's only bad because they aren't benefiting from it. I have never once seen, or heard any man talk about the unrealistic bodies that male characters are given in every game.
@sleeves736413 күн бұрын
hope your husband is doing ok and you have great takes, i think most of the problem with the male gaze dislikers is just jealous women who hate it when pixels get looked at instead of them, but then also say they dont want people looking at them? those types are a buncha wackjobs if ya ask me
@Devilsblight8613 күн бұрын
I remember people on Twitter (including myself) calling out the people bashing others for having "the male gaze" and bringing up women who gaze at male characters the same way. You know what reply we always get? "Oh but that's not the same!" The audacity of these misandrists.

Apparently, if you're a heterosexual man and you find women attractive, that's somehow wrong. Who knew? If heterosexual women find men attractive, however, that's all right.
@tsubakisato624113 күн бұрын
It’s an annoying double standards and it’s shouldn’t be that way. Men should be allowed to have and love attractive female characters same way women are allowed to have and love attractive male characters. For example I love Console Otome Games like Virche Evermore and Olympia Soiree with attractive female protagonist and attractive male love interests characters. I would never buy them if they were ugly. For Mobile Gatcha Games like Love And Deepspace especially the recent banner Nightly Rendezvous.

I don't know about male gaze, but while many people talk about how hot the women in Stellar Blade is, I can't stop looking at the purty man. Especially when towards the end when he has his shirt off... so beautiful, sigh. Let's be democratic - gazes for everyone!

Women get mad at these characters but at the same time most of the women that are cosplayed are the sexy characters. The amount of Moxxxi cosplays compared to Ellie from Borderlands is like 10,000:1. When the movie came out there was one woman who dressed up as claptrap and the rest dressed as women who show naval and cleavage.
