He should be treated as a human among humans. Snyder was planning evil Superman so he designed god among humans. Try to compare him with Superman you'll find the complete opposite character. Cavill's Superman smiles rarely, Only saved 2 people in 3 films (excluding the bus) rest is just mass destruction, people are scared of him instead of being happy. He has dialogues like "No-one stays good in this world" Superman is a complete white and positive character he cracks jokes even with kryptonite bullet in his body, Instead of giving others hope, he is hopeless himself. This totally assassinated the character. Superman should be the beacon of hope and there is no such thing called grey beacon or dark beacon. Snyder is an amazing director, his movies are visual masterpieces. He makes every frame look like painting for doing this sometimes he just ruins the character. For making the universe dark and edgy he just changed the chemistry between characters. He doesn't know you can make dark movies even with humour and colours. James Gunn's TSS is a perfect example of it. He knows how to play with emotions and deliver the best product sticking to the source material. His Superman suit looks like straight ripped out of old classic comics without being too goofy.
