Mother boxes went to sleep for 1000 years until Victor's father wakes one of the box for the creation of cyborg. So after cyborg created mother boxes went to sleep again bcoz superman was there and that's why even Darkseid didn't know about the earth as mother boxes never called them before and they waited until superman is dead.
