The USA military spreading Covid is far fetched But the answer is probably more simple To me it looks like the USA just offshored its dangerous path o gen /Gain-Of-Function research to China like they did everything else What we do know for sure is Obama put a moratorium on Gain-Of-Function research in 2014 Where the Republicans were blaming Fauci for lifting that moratorium in 2017 under Trump What we do know Western Mainstream media/MSM, was trying to pass it off as This BSL 4 Biolab in Wuhan China was some secret dark site that the Chinese were using to make some biological wea pons When in fact many of the worlds… world renowned virologists had access to this Biolab or collaborated with this Biolab And as well as with their Chinese CDC And it was the Americans who came up with the partial funding for this Biolab. The French who built it And it was America, France, UK, and Canada who trained the scientists working at this Biolab Yes America financed that Gain-Of-Function Research And like I said most of the worlds most renowned Virologists had either direct or indirect contact with this Biolab 👇 State Department cables warned of safety issues at Wuhan lab studying bat coronaviruses By Josh Rogin April 14, 2020 at 5:0 * In January 2018, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing took the unusual step of repeatedly sending U.S. science diplomats to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which had in 2015 become China’s first laboratory to achieve the highest level of international bioresearch safety (known as BSL-4). WIV issued a news release in English about the last of these visits, which occurred on March 27, 2018. *During interactions with scientists at the WIV laboratory, they noted the new lab has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory,” states the Jan. 19, 2018, cable, which was drafted by two officials from the embassy’s environment, science and health sections who met with the WIV scientists. (The State Department declined to comment on this and other details of the story.) The Chinese researchers at WIV were receiving assistance from the Galveston National Laboratory at the University of Texas Medical Branch and other U.S. organizations, but the Chinese requested additional help. The cables argued that the United States should give the Wuhan lab further support, mainly because its research on bat coronaviruses was important but also dangerous. WAPO

Which country is perfect? Most Western countries have virus laboratories. A few weeks of travel is not enough for you to see China's beautiful scenery, and you are willing to join such a boring topic! As a European, I want to say that China is very responsible in announcing this virus to the world. This is a responsible government. In fact, some countries have discovered such cases in 2019, they are just more cautious and have not released the information publicly. After clearing the media bias and ideology in your mind, you will be more rational and objective when looking at China! I wish you a more wonderful journey!

I haven't been to Wuhan, but I assume bats are really categorized as exotic meats, so the percentage of people eating bats might be the same as the those who eat the more exotic meats elsewhere in the world, probably a small portion. I'd imagine most Chinese are disgusted at the concept of eating bats.

Since there's no separation of powers in China, its public health department was not given independent powers. The administration force is mainly a tool to "harmonize" the society for the central government, hence we get incidents like Dr. Li Wen Liang. This is not the first time a huge medical incident was suppressed to manage the population, SARS from 2003 (also a type of coronavirus closely related to COVID), was also suppressed and had a huge effect casted on Hong Kong, where the news was broke because of the separate governmental structure. An Italian doctor eventually notified the WHO while treating an American patient who flew from China, to Singapore, to Hanoi. The doctor was killed by the virus. In 2003, also due to exotic meats being consumed, virus carried by civets and originated in bats, was passed to human in the markets and numerous hospitals admitted patients with "strange respiratory diseases" in Guangdong. Doctors were busy researching the cases while the truth was kept quiet, so the public was not informed to try to keep the virus at bay. A Chinese doctor working with these patients then came to Hong Kong and only self-administered antibiotics without self-isolating, and the virus was first verifiably passed to a fellow elevator passenger with only 30s of being in the same elevator. The rest is history. The Chinese conspiracy of COVID being invented by the US was nothing new, they also said SARS was invented by the US. A likely explanation that I believe in is simply people ate exotic meats and brought viruses from exotic places to city centers. I heard post COVID, the public health and diseases department in China may be getting more independent power? Have no idea how it is now, but hopefully government officials won't be withholding news about these things in the future.
