Godzilla. But if I had to pick a real dinosaur, it would have to be Tyrannosaurus Rex. Some Neuroscientists challenged EQ with their newer way of approaching Dino intelligence measuring cerebral neurons, now theres the theory that T.Rex's intelligence could have been akin to some primates. Though it's not a foolproof or fully accurate method of intelligence measurement. It's super rad to think how smart dinosaurs could've been. It makes them more terrifying, too!

I think people have leaned away from spino because JPs version of it was so inaccurate and the controversy it created. For a long time the idea it could kill Trex was wild spread and of course we now know (some of us have always known) that Trex was just too powerful. Still, a fascinating dino in its own right.

And for the record, Parasaurolophus bc omg what would that have sounded like!! I was not a horse girl, I wanted a Parasaurolophus to ride. So majestic. Though now Psittachosaurus is what I'd opt for for a pet dino. Those tail bristles were something else. Imagine breeding them for different sizes and bristle lengths/textures and colors the way we do chickens (which, after this video, I think I'm going to have fold into my top 10).

I’ll always be a Stegosaurus guy, personally. Ever since I first learned what a dinosaur was. That said, Therizinosaurus is becoming a tight runner-up for me. What’s not to love about a T. rex-sized plant-eating goose-lizard with claws like Wolverine? I’d personally love nothing more than to see it become as popular as T. rex or Brontosaurus. If Velociraptor and Spinosaurus can go from kinda obscure to super-famous, so can Therizinosaurus.

Idk if it's my favourite but more people need to know about Udanoceratops. It's a leptoceratopsid(early group of ceratopsians, no horns, also quadrupedal unlike other some early ceratopsians), and the biggest one of its group. Its head was fricking huge and reconstructions tend to give it a massive beak. Bro's goofy as hell it's amazing

For a long time, I've had 3 fave dinos, and it's yet to change. Deinonychus has a special place in my heart, not because they are what the JP Velociraptors actually are, but because Deinonychus was so important in discovering birds are dinosaurs, and building up to many dinosaurs being feathered. It also has an amazing name. Carcharodontosaurus was my first ever fave dino. I played JP: Operation Genesis as a kid, and that game is a JP park builder, if not the first one ever, and it had Carchar in it. I was always obsessed with its ridiculous sounding but amazing name, and when I was older and researched it more, so much more about Carchar appealed to me. It may be no tyrant lizard king, but I love it as if it were. Spinosaurus, lastly, is my 3rd fave. I got into Spinosaurids when I first played ARK and fell in love with the Baryonyx. That love eventually evolved into Spinosaurus, because it's the weird and amazing poster child for the clade. I love how much revision and debates Spino gets, how it constantly evolves into a weirder therapod. Therizinosaurus will probably always be the weirdest therapod, but Spino is a close second, and I love that.

My favorite dinosaur is incredibly obscure; the Suchosaurus. It was a spinosaurid known from England and Portugal. It was presumably more adapted to terrestrial life than other Spinosaurids, and nay have looked far more like a 'hollywood' dinosaur than others. Which is why I like it so very much. It was just bad-A looking.

But for a dino specifically (and I do hope this is a dino because im not very up to date with the knowledge) Maybe latenivenatrix...

Every person I was hoping they would say mine! 😢 No one said Parasaurolophus. My sisters & I used to argue over our favorite dinosaurs being different. But actually they are from the same Hadrosauroidea, but probably just depicted in cartoons or movies poorly. Our main argument was I liked the head adornment and she liked the wider duck bill.

Ok, obviously the best Tyrannosaur is Nanuqsaurus (polar and feathered!!!) and I'm APPALLED by the lack of hadrosaur love among this crowd. 😉 Parasaurolophus forever. Tho, I don't judge anyone who forgoes trying to pronounce it's name publicly. Seeing the holotype at the Field Museum broke my brain -- because after seeing representations my entire life I still had no idea how massive it would be. I was picturing a large bull as far as bulk and size went, and I should have pictured a bull elephant.

Clint, I know this it's unlikely you'll get to ready this, but I think you'd enjoy Silesaurus. A goosenecked quadrapedal weirdo from the Triassic, and best of all, a dubious taxonomic standing. Probably not a dinosaur, but also could be. And a dinosaur that gets to the question of what even is a dinosaur is pretty fun.

Mine would be Amargasaurus. Lesser known sauropod from Argentina. On the smaller side, but they have this wicked double row of spines along the neck. It is fun speculating about the reason why they have that. Maybe to make them look bigger, maybe have webbing between them to cool down. Either way, they just looks cool.
