If I'm not feeling confident about my chances I often look for the most chaotic option It doesn't always work out haha

From a strongly player and control oriented perspective, would you suggest a different way to classify styles?? :)

@@FrascoAdAbstra Not sure, haven't really given it much thought. Seems like one can probably play multiple of these simultanously so maybe one could use them as dimensions. Perhaps with the exception of aggression/defense which I guess is mutually exclusive. But I think this seems to capture the main styles definitely.

I'm an Offensive player for sure, I feel it's easier to play attack than defense as long as you are able to maintain initiative. But I need to improve in others styles cos knowing to play only offense it's too limiting as you said when you are black it's more punishing. Thank you for the lesson :)

It's exactly as you say, it feels much easier and comfortable to attack than to defend. However, a reckless attack can also turn into a hopeless situation if you don't switch to a control or another style on time. Trying a bit of everything is as usual the best way to learn :) thanks for watching!

Grazie! C'è un gruppo su BGA, o se sei su discord (il meglio se vuoi seguire le novità e imparare) abbiamo un canale in italiano :) discord.gg/meGhbYHf9v

This reminds me of the different computer players in RISK back in the mid 90s. Also, there was an interesting breakdown of typical Magic: The Gathering players from a few years ago. Knowing this about your opponent can be a huge strategic advantage. Maybe you can go deeper into it?

I don't know much about risk but there might be definitely similarities with MtG (maybe in a different way because of the cards factor). Re the psychological factor, I totally agree, it can be huge. I usually suggest to strive to play positions that are comfortable to you as much as possible (and the most uncomfortable for your opponent). If you know your opponent is particularly fond of control, try to play an opening as dynamic as possible. Or if they are famous to be very aggressive, don't feel forced to get into complex positions but try to neutralize their initiative as much as you can.
