Senthil seems like an example of a well-meaning technocratic liberal. While tribal-adjacent Hindu identity might be anti-hierarchical, there is no political Hinduism, especially with BJP-RSS-based mobilisation around, without hierarchy. Similarly, there are no abstract democratic principles that can shape people's identity, that's just soft-centrist justification of majoritarianism. Great questions as usual!
