Ceased is a bold statement. I agree that the gifts have been abused in many situations but I don’t think we have the authority, without biblical context, to say a gift will cease. But no judgment, God will judge our hearts.

My dad had a stroke a year ago. When we walked into the hospital the nurses told us he would not live. We didn’t believe her and trusted the Lord God almighty would heal him. My sister and I walked into that room and laid hands on him speaking the scriptures over him and proclaiming his restoration loud that that the nurses could hear us. He has not walked since he had been there. After we prayed, he accepted Christ in his heart and forgave people who had hurt him. He had a strong desire to use the bathroom and just got up and used the bathroom. All of the nurses and doctors were shocked at the severity of the stroke and the fact that he was able to get up. They had no explanation. But GOD performed a miracle and used my sister and I to pray and declare the word..Just because it’s not posted on social media doesn’t mean the gifts are not for today. They are still very relevant to today. Maybe just not in the context you are stating. Maybe you have not been in a circumstance that requires it, but Holy Spirit can and will move in whatever shape, way or form to show the Glory of God and his manifestation and power. 🔥🔥🔥

You’re confusing one-off miracles with the gift of healing. The gift of healing is an ability to heal, like when the apostles healed people the way Jesus did. God responds to prayer and heals people. But nobody has the gift of healing today.

The gift of healing along with the grace to be a generous giver is still in him. I share that to say the gifts "all" are still very much operating today. If I showed you my medical records, from a car accident that I was in 2021 you would not only praise God with me but you will know that the healing power of God works today just as back then. The prayers of the righteous really does avail much. This is personal and Jesus said the things that he did, we shall do even greater. Jesus is not a liar. He said what he said and it is so! If the greater is not being done by believers, it's not because it can't, it's because of their unbelief. The reason why Jesus could not do many miracles and or healings in his home town was due to the lack of belief. Soon you will see as it has already begun the separation will take place. I chuckle and laugh because the enemy is having a field day with lukewarm people. I laugh because people allow it to be so and some think it's a way to get ahead. Charging and manipulating the ignorant who just want to be healed or receive a miracle from the Lord. Freely we receive, freely we should be giving. Some people are lying to others because of selfish gain. Money is not needed to see God move, our faith is required. God showed me he still heals, back in 2014, he had me stop and pray for a limping dog. I don't even like dogs. Holy Spirit lead me to teach me some little kids about the power of prayer, and I asked this random stranger if we could pray for their dog. Animals can't fake healing, people do all the time. That dog didn't take me nor these two girls yelling at it, we did not require the owner to pay us money before or after and we did not have people watching or music playing. The dog was walking normally after a prayer for less than one min. The owner was so overjoyed. She told us what happened to the dog and how long it was walking with the limp. God used that to show me, it doesn't take all the show that people put on to do his business. I questioned too in healing was even real and he showed me with an animal. Which only increased my faith when I prayed for people. As I close, I encourage you to strongly reconsider your position on the gifts of healing and miracles. Your platform is a sound place for believers and I know we won't always get it right, that's why we have each other as helpers of one another. Keep on sharing Truth in Love Brother Allen. Yes. The gift of healing doesn't mean 100% of people will be healed! The Holy Spirit is the leader and activator of that gift. Also Jesus said some demons don't come out except by prayer snd fasting. (which could hinder healing) He also didn't heal many in a certain location because of their doubt and unbelief, and that was JESUS himself.

I have had two separate occasions of someone laying on of hands that led to my knee healing by a woman prophet, and my headaches ceased when another person layed hands and prayed and my migraine immediately IMMEDIATELY CEASED.

Noticed that the men were not doing the miracles but the Holy Spirit within them. If the Spirit of the Lord is still on earth all things are possible. Even Jesus said in John 14:12b whoever believes in Him shall do the works he does and even greater… Open your eyes brother and don’t limit God’s power in these end times. I said it on the full video and I will say it here...spiritual gifts were never done by the will of man. In other countries, they experience the gift of healing. As for the gift of miracles, I lack understanding as to what that gift actually is. What I didn't say in the comment section on the full video is this...I believe that the reason we don't see the expression of the spiritual gifts is because the western culture doesn't believe in them or at least believes that all but certain ones have stopped. God has used me in the gift of the word of knowledge but it was only of HIS will and not mine. The Holy Spirit distributes those gifts as He wills and activates them when it's needed.

I’ve had instant healings when someone has prayed for me. I speak in tongues which helps my prayer life and is never done for show. I am not a charismatic and I knows satan has imitated everything of God to cause confusion and loss. I also believe you can have no obvious giftings and be saved.

My brother had a tear in his spleen that was in a bad spot and caused all kinds on internal bleeding and after his first surgery the tear opened back up again….. after weeks of fasting and prayer (esp from mama and granny) they went to perform another surgery and realized the entire tear was completely healed! We believe they happened because the eyewitnesses have been shown to be trustworthy. Allen believes they have ceased because they don’t happen today. I believe they have ceased because the scriptures assign to them purposes that have been fulfilled, God doesn’t have to continually prove Himself or His messengers, and God doesn’t do things just for our entertainment.

I didn’t think Allen would have so many Pentecostal followers. It’s not a surprise that so many of them confuse one-off healing with a gift of being able to heal people. Allen believes certain gifts have ceased because they don’t happen today. Experience is a fair rationale, but not the best reason. I believe sign gifts have ceased because the scriptures assign to them purposes that have been fulfilled, God doesn’t have to continually prove Himself or His messengers, and God doesn’t do things just for our entertainment. Since so many people put their faith in what they can see (even if it’s fake), and since there’s almost complete correlation with belief that salvation depends on grace, but ultimately on human virtues, I fear for their souls.

If you’ve understood this verse as evidence of Jesus saying people currently have faith then you’ve misunderstood it. In fact throughout Matthew and the rest of the gospels Jesus is often frustrated at peoples lack of faith. One of the biggest problem today is people lack of faith in I AM. Faith is not just about saying it’s about trusting fully and hanging your hat on the eternal inheritance I AM has promised to all those who believe in I AM. I AM manifested in the flesh and Was indicated by The Spirit. Faith essentially is delaying gratification. You know that you have eternal life in Christ so you don’t lust and you’re not hateful etc. basically you’re not like Essau who forfeited his inheritance because of fleshy desires. You strengthen yourself in the Lord like David in times of adversity and repent from sin to live a life that begets the fruits of the Holy Spirit. God bless you and amen!

Nevertheless The reason why I quoted that verse is because, whenever someone tells people that "they don't have enough faith" or "or are lacking in it", I feel the need to remind them that the size of one's faith does not detemine whether or not a prayer is answered or a miracle takes place. To illustrate, if say a faith healer prays healing over someone who is sick and that person doesn't get healed right away and it leads the faith healer to say "well, you don't have enough faith", then that is a problem and that faith healer needs to be reminded of that Matthew verse. I don't believe it's wise to base your theology on what you see in the world today. Jesus said "these signs will follow those who believe..." Not "unless of course I take some of those signs away." God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The Holy Spirit is also the same. If people are not living the life displayed for us in the gospels and in the book of Acts, it is not God's fault. It must be our faith, or lack thereof.

I agree with Allan to some extent. I think the gift of healing and miracles has ceased because we’re close to the end times and the creatures that are to arise will lead the people astray. I don’t subscribe to the notion of Jesus not responding to someone one’s prayers and healing them, it’s just some that’s in the book to Revelation. Tongues and prophecies should be a topic the church clarifies and be united, the Bible does say it was a tangible language that was understood by people when the Holy Ghost descended and also the literal “tongues of fire” that were witnessed.

I have many personal testimonies of the Lord God performing miracles and healings through my own hands (after intense prayer, fasting and worshiping), as well as through others. I think it’s more so that our faith has ceased not spiritual gifts that’s like saying the Holy Spirit lost its power it’s didn’t lose power we lost our faith

A couple of things. Number one… No one has ever had the ability to heal or do miracles at will. Even Jesus said that he couldn’t do anything that he didn’t see the father do and that he only said what he heard the father say. Certainly Paul had gifts of healing’s working in his life by the power of the Holy Spirit, but he left us sick because those endowments were not operating at the moment. Number two… If you believe that prophecy and tongues still function, you would have to believe that healing and miracles do as well because they are in the same list in one Corinthians 12 versus 8:10 so that is not a tenable position. Just come all the way into being a continuation and you’ll be good. Sorry for the typos as I have no vision and I’m dictating this to Siri and don’t feel like starting over. Nowhere in the Bible, does it say that the gifts of the spirit have ceased, in fact, one Corinthians one versus 4:9 and 13 verses 8:10 adequately demonstrate that they continue and furthermore, we are commanded to cover it to prophecy and to forbid not to speak with tongues, one Corinthians 14:39 so if you are not doing that, you need to adjust and take the right position and begin to follow Paul’s instruction. We believe verse 40 and we also must believe in practice verse 39 unless you can adequately demonstrate that that command does not apply and you cannot.

You’re almost there! Languages/tongues have ceased also. There may be an occasional allowance of God on languages in say a remove African village, but in the corporate church sense, they’ve ceased. What we’re hearing now is made up gibberish… I used to do it for about 13 years.

Suffering is part of the Christ life. You are not alone and suffering. I don't agree that suffering is a gift. Through your suffering God can reveal to you and grow you. We suffer sometimes because of our lack of knowledge or choices. We also can suffer of our beliefs on Christ. If Healing has past away Jesus lied in all these verses Matthew 4:4 Luke 4:4 Matthew 24:35 making him a unfit sacrifice and we can not be sure we are saved live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God but My words will by no means pass away. Did some of Gods words say heal the sick and miracles? Putting our experience above God's word makes our experience a idol. Mark 9:23

I don't know that anyone can confirm that Christians still speak in tongues. There are Roman Catholics who pray to Mary who speaks in tongues. Also , the tongues could be proven to be real languages on the day of Pentecost , but where's the proof that someone is speaking in Russian , Spanish , or Chinese tongues. Are there Christians whose prophecy is right 100 percent of the time? There are a lot of people making bold and wrong prophecies among the pentacostals. If this gift has validity at this point in time , then it would stand out from all of the false prophecies.

Because only true Christians do behave Christ like, the disciples was called Christians because they were behaving Christ like in Antioch preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God and talking about our Lord and Saviour the Christ, raising the dead, healing the sick, driven out demons as what Christ Jesus did when He walked the earth but not at any time He was called Christians nor did He called His disciples Christians.

If you believe in the gift of tongues, interpretation and prophecy (which are revelatory in nature) then you are by no means a cessationist Alan. These are the practices that disturb me most because they add to the Scriptures.

You must read a different Bible than I do... Jesus gave us the commandment to make disciples of all nations heal the sick cast out devils and raise the dead. He never gives commandments without providing a way to accomplish it. I have seen many people healed. I seen a man come out of a wheelchair and throw it on the alter. I have the gift of healing. People don't see miracles from lack of faith.. Jesus couldn't do any miracle in his hometown from the same lack of faith. Pray hard before making statement like this
