Sean Payton isn’t throwing the ball. Remember when everyone said Belechick was the reason Tom won those titles? And then Tom left and won a title in Tampa and Belechick left the league. @jameslane9537Күн бұрын
@@taylorrenee4880 I agree to a point. However, a good coach installs plays that work to his QB strengths and maximizes the chances of successful execution. It's a symbiotic relationship. Payton was running a pretty lean and conservative offense in the beginning and has been opening it up more as Nix's skills and confidence grow. I also think this may be one of the reasons Caleb Williams is struggling: Shane Waldron's gameplan wasn't a good match for Williams' current skill level.

This is also a team ranked 32nd in sacks and QB pressures before the game started. Also an away game in Denver at 5000 ft elevation (they were gassed). Nix is good and Colin is correct to hype him, but this was the best of all possible scenarios for him.

When the dead cap is gone next year... this is going to be a very good Denver Broncos team. As you guys said, you put them with the Chargers and the Chiefs... The Raiders will also have to play the Commanders, Eagles and possibly the Ravens, Bills or Steelers. The Raiders are looking at another terrible season on strength of schedule alone. Saints fan coming in to correct some disinformation! Y'all need to put some stats in front of you before you starting spitting statistics and records. It's your job, for god's sake. You're talking about how great Payton is based on his first year performance, but you're missing all the context. Yes, Payton took the previously 3-13 2005 Saints to a 10-6 record his first year as HC in 2006, and yes they made it to the NFC championship... but that was in an extremely weak division where no one else had above a .500 record. The NFC in general was weak that year...only 4 teams in the entire conference had positive point differentials. The Saints got into the playoffs as the #2 seed and therefore had a bye week. They also got to host the 10-6 Eagles in New Orleans... and it was hard fought, they barely won that game. They got pummeled by the Bears in the NFC Championship game, 39-14. The Saints went on to go 7-9 and 8-8 (bottom of their division with that .500 record!) in their following seasons before finally making it to the big show with a 13-3 regular season record in 2009. Yes, Payton was a huge, immediate change in New Orleans, but Colin out here making it sound like they were champions overnight. Nah, it took 3-4 years. That's what it will take in Denver, too. They will have some playoff showings and knock on the door.
