We’re past ego.. the 49er offense is stupid and the defensive coordinator is inept. Kyle, calling the same plays the defense knows you’re running. You play a division opponent with no wrinkles, no special plays to keep Mason and Gurrendo involved, no signature play for Pearsall their #1 pick!? Defense.. every NFL coordinator who looses a player like Bosa would MIX it up on that final drive. You don’t have to be reckless but my GOD they rushed 4 and sat back in soft zones! Without Bosa that’s like forfeiting! Seriously these coaches are stupid!

@DIVISIONINCISION well, we've been able to win this division with Jimmy G and that was back when Russell Wilson was still good. I don't think QB is the problem. QB isn't fixing the special teams, QB isn't fixing the lack of pass rush or pass rush depth, QB isn't fixing the kicker being awful, QB isn't fixing the coach calling dumb plays on the deciding possession of the game cause he wants to win with his ego. The thing with trying to improve QB is, like you said Brock is already above average. So the only way to possibly improve that position when your current option is already in the upper 8-12 and has proven playoff success over multiple seasons is to somehow land an elite top 5 guy. And you have to do that without sacrificing other parts of the team that would make that change moot. You need a top 3 draft pick to get a QB that good, and the last time we had one of those we blew it on Trey Lance. Superbowls have been won with QBs far worse than Brock Purdy. Brock Purdy is basically already everything we could ever want for this roster and style of play outside of being two inches taller. Brock Purdy is borderline elite at all the skills that matter for the west coast offense, and he is a net positive athlete who has won us playoff games with his legs before. Stafford is one hit away from being completely washed, and Kyler is still so short that he has a hard ceiling on his team's ability to run dropback offense. Purdy is the most consistent and reliable guy in the division, and the only one to have any more success than him is Stafford and that's cause Matt didn't have to play Mahomes in the super bowl. Brock Purdy is the best thing to happen to this team since Steve Young. Even when we DO pay him, he's still going to be cheaper than any of the elite QBs and he gives this team far and away the best chance to win of all the options.

Before the season I made a prediction that the 49ers would take a step back & not win the West, primarily because of age in some spots, injury concerns, and the fact that teams coming off devastating SB losses usually aren’t as good the following season. 49ers will still win 9 or 10 games, but making the playoffs will be tough. they are good enough to win at green bay, but will lose to the bills. they will win vs the bears, rams and probably at miami. they will lose to the lions. the final game at arizona might decide who wins the NFC west this year if i had to guess but they do tend to have problems with scrambling quarterbacks like kyler murray. it really will just come down to how healthy they can get in the last few weeks. if kittle and bosa are okay, they could still be a playoff team.

Have you looked at their schedule? They will lose badly to GB, Buffalo and Detroit. They will be underdogs against Arizona, L.A. and Miami. You could maybe call the Bears game an easy game. I don't see 4-5 wins there. The NFC West will be over before week 18. The Cardinals have an easy schedule remaining. The most difficult game they have is the Vikings on the road.
